A concert in the Schönbrunn Orangery

After dinner, make your way to the Schönbrunn Orangery, an architectural jewel of Baroque Vienna and one of Europe’s oldest concert venues. Here, the Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra performs a 2-hour program of Mozart and Strauss, filled with overtures, arias, and duets that shaped the city’s golden age of music. The concert features two acclaimed opera soloists whose performances bring these timeless works vividly to life.

Choose your ideal seating experience

Whether you're in Category A with a glass of sparkling wine or VIP with a personal CD, your evening promises to be a truly remarkable experience in Austria’s 'City of Music.' Each tier ensures a clear view, exceptional acoustics, and an unforgettable musical experience.

What to bring

Bring your voucher or digital ticket and a valid photo ID to the Orangery entrance. Ticket collection is mandatory and strictly checked.

Pack a light jacket or shawl, as the indoor venue can feel cool even in summer evenings.

Carry a small amount of cash if you are not a VIP ticket holder, because the cloakroom fee for non-VIP guests is €1.

What’s not allowed

Photography or video recording of the performance is strictly prohibited.

Outside food or drinks are not permitted inside the concert venue; refreshments are available in the concert bar.

While there is no strict dress code enforcement, sportswear, trainers, and overly casual attire are discouraged. Opt for smart casual or semi-formal attire.

Accessibility

The Orangery Schönbrunn offers full wheelchair accessibility, including ramps, barrier-free facilities, and accessible toilets.

Sign-language guides and other special accommodations are available on request.

Additional information

Collect your tickets from 10am to 6:15pm at the reservation office of the Orangery Schönbrunn.

The concert normally begins at 8:30pm and lasts approximately 105 minutes, including an intermission.

On selected dates, the concert may take place in the Great Gallery or the White-Gold Room directly in the Palace (or in the Palace Theatre).

Dinner is served at one of the chosen restaurants, Restaurant Gerstner Schönbrunn (on the palace grounds) or Restaurant Tafelspitz.

Book your tickets at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance, especially for the busy months of May to September and in December, since concerts often sell out.

During intermission, stop by the bar for refreshments or stroll through the Orangery Garden when open in warmer months.

Parking is available directly in front of the Orangery until midnight for an additional fee.

Cloakroom service is free for VIP ticket holders; all other guests pay €1.
