From Prague: Karlovy Vary & Diana Observation Tower Day Trip

What to bring

• Bring a valid ID card or passport, as it must be presented before joining the tour.

• Choose comfortable walking shoes, as Karlovy Vary has long pedestrian routes, uphill sections, and uneven terrain near several viewing points.

• Pack a light jacket or warm layer, since temperatures in the spa town and around the Diana Tower area are often cooler than in Prague.

• Carry a compact umbrella or raincoat, because sudden showers can occur throughout the year.

• Take your own headphones if you plan on using the audio guide, as they greatly improve the listening experience.

What’s not allowed

• Avoid bringing large suitcases or oversized bags, as these cannot be accommodated on the tour vehicle, and only small personal items are allowed.

• Smoking is prohibited inside enclosed areas such as the funicular station, the tower, and the colonnades.

• Drones are not allowed in the central parts of Karlovy Vary due to safety policies and restrictions around historic structures and natural protected zones.

Accessibility

• This tour is not wheelchair accessible, as the route includes uphill walking, staircases, and uneven ground that may be difficult to navigate.

Additional information

• Departures take place at 8:45am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, so arriving 10 to 15 minutes early helps ensure an easy check-in.

• If you selected the audio guide, you will need to download an app before or at the meeting point; staff can assist you with setup.

• Live commentary may be provided in more than one language, depending on the group.

• The funicular to Diana Tower will remain closed from September 8 to September 26, 2025, so access to the tower area during this period may require an alternative walking route.

• The Diana Funicular and Watchtower are closed annually from January 6 to February 7, so entry is not possible during these dates.
