Choose standard admission if you want the cheapest and most flexible option. It includes one-day entry to regular exhibits, pavilions, and most children’s/play areas, but not transport, food, or special programs.

If you want narration, pick the Admission Tickets + Audio Guide variant. Standard admission is self-guided, with visitors relying on the zoo map and signage.

The river cruise or transfer-style options are best if you want simpler logistics or a scenic arrival. They usually take about 5–7 hours total including travel and are less flexible than metro line C + bus 112.

Consider a city pass only if the zoo is one stop in a packed Prague itinerary. The Prague Visitor Pass includes zoo entry plus unlimited public transport over a 48–120 hour validity window, so it usually works better for multi-attraction trips than for a zoo-only day.

Aim for opening time or late afternoon. Busy weekends and holidays can bring about 15–35 minutes of combined ticketing and entry waits, especially around 10:00–12:00.

Allow about 4–6 hours for a normal visit. If you only have 2–3 hours, plan a highlights route around Indonesian Jungle, African Savannah, Elephant Valley, or the Children’s Zoo instead of trying to cover the full map.

Travelers with strollers or limited mobility should start in the lower, flatter section and check whether the internal chairlift is operating. The upper zoo has steeper walks and longer distances.
