Had an amazing day at Singapore Zoo! The variety of animals and birds from around the world is truly incredible, and the beautifully maintained enclosures make the experience even more enjoyable. The tram ride was such a fun and convenient way to explore the zoo, especially with kids. We were also impressed by how clean and well-organized everything was. From local favourites to international bites, there were plenty of food options to choose from. A special mention to the warm and helpful staff who made our visit smooth and memorable. And thanks to HeadOut for making the booking process seemless! Definitely one of the best family attractions in Singapore!

Headout prompted right after I had booked the tickets on the apps to select the slot. Hadn't I noticed that, I would have missed the slot selection and would have been a disaster .Also the good part is that the nearby attractions within the same park are also recommended so that you don't miss anything.Otherwise the endless co-ordination work with travel agents, slot selection etc would be a chaos.With headout , I see what I get.

It was an amazing place. staff were so helpful as we couldn't get tickets we down loaded to work. The surroundings were breathtaking and the water stations were so handy and needed we spend 4hours and enjoyed every minute

The zoo was very immersive, you were either close or interacting with them. All animals look like they are well cared for and seem to be enjoying their enclosures. The zoo has a good variety of animals, birds, reptiles some I have not seen before. Beware of the monkeys as they will steal your food if you have it exposed to them. We also saw the bird sanctuary which was also impressive and along with the zoo a must to see. When we return to Singapore we will definitely revisit and hopefully do all the other attractions which we missed out on.

Entry wasn't as smooth as possible. Purchasing passes through headout weren't the final tickets, I had to download a separate site and log each code into that before getting my tickets. I wasn't aware of this until I arrived at the zoo so that delayed my entry. Otherwise the process worked fine and the zoo is amazing.

Getting started

Kickstart your morning at the Singapore Zoo by heading to Ah Meng Restaurant, named after the zoo’s beloved orangutan. Breakfast service starts at 9am, so make sure to arrive a little early to grab a good spot.

What to expect

Wander through 26 hectares of rainforest and spot 2,800 animals from 300 species in naturalistic habitats.

Enjoy close encounters with elephants, lemurs, big cats, and more.

Hop on a tram or buggy for an easy ride through the zoo.

Start your day with a hearty spread at Ah Meng Restaurant, featuring fresh bakes, fruits, and hot breakfast dishes.

Share your morning with animal ambassadors like orangutans and exotic birds for a truly unique wildlife dining experience.

What to bring

Light clothes, comfy shoes, sunscreen, cap, mosquito repellent, and a poncho or umbrella.

Bring a reusable water bottle – refill stations are available.

Arrive early on weekdays or visit in the late afternoon.

Arrive 10–15 mins early: Seats fill up fast, especially for Splash Safari. Grab a good spot without the rush.

What's not allowed

There are prohibited areas in the zoo. Do not venture into these zones for your own safety.

Do not feed or tease the animals living in the zoo.

Stay seated the whole duration of the tram ride.

Feel free to take photos for personal use. Flash photography is not allowed.

Smoking is not allowed inside the zoo. You will find a designated smoking point outside the entrance.

Pets and plants are not allowed inside.

Skate scooters, inline skates, rollerblades, tricycles and pull trolleys are not permitted inside.

Turn off flash photography for animals’ comfort.

Accessibility

Ticketing machines (TM), nursing & diaper changing rooms, lost and found, free wifi, stoller, wheelchair access, lockers, prayer rooms, rain gears, first-aid stations, luggage storage are available at the venue.
