Loved our family day out for my granddaughters 5th Birthday and all 4 grandchildren enjoyed seeing everything especially the penguins I just thought it was expensive paying £26 each for a 4 and a 5 year old, the same price as an adult and we took our time at everything and were finished in just over an hour so it was quite an expensive hour for 11 of us! Would have been nice if you did a child discount for 3-11 year olds or for group bookings!

it was a wonderful trip all in all. we stayed for about 1.5-2 hours looking around. my kid wasnt interested in the talks but they seemed very well presented and fun from the bits i did catch. it was very hot in the majority of the building which on one of the hottest days of the year was a struggle but we thought it was well worth it! our favourite part was the 360 tunnel with moe (hapy 50 birthday moe!) the turtle.

It was very good but way to expensive considering there's zoo's safari parks and other equatic activities for much cheaper. Nearly £90 for 3 is unfortunately not worth a return trip

The sea life centre is not very big, you could easily do it in 30 mins so for the price of £24.50 that's expensive

Fantastic but too many kids and despite notices to say don't knock the glaass parents did not adhere to this , I think this needs more monitoring

Getting started

Arrive for your pre-booked 10-minute slot and have your ticket ready for scanning. A reservation alone isn’t valid; present your ticket to enter. Follow signage to begin your self-guided visit.

What to expect

SEA LIFE Birmingham

Once inside, you’ll follow a winding, one-way path through over 60 spectacular displays. Transition from the icy climates of the Antarctic to the vibrant heat of tropical reefs, ending with the ultimate 'walk on the ocean floor' in the tunnel.

Features:

360° Ocean Tunnel: The crown jewel of the aquarium allows you to watch sharks, rays, and Molokai (the giant Green Sea Turtle) swim not just above you, but right beneath your feet.

Marine mammal rescue facility: Meet the UK’s first Alaskan sea otters, Ozzy and Ola. This world-class facility emulates their natural habitat and highlights the center's vital conservation and rescue work.

Penguin Ice Adventure: Step into the freezing world of the Gentoo penguins. Watch their cheeky antics on the ice and their incredible speed as they dive into the crystal-clear water.

Interactive Rockpool: A favorite for curious minds, this zone lets you get hands-on. Under the guidance of experts, you can touch a starfish or learn the texture of a sea anemone.

Jelly Invaders: Step into a mesmerizing gallery of jellyfish. Lit by multi-colored spotlights, these 'ancient survivors' create a glowing, rhythmic display that is both calming and alien.

What's not allowed

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Flash photography and the use of tripods is strictly prohibited at the venue.

Eating or drinking are not allowed on this experience.

All children under 2 must be booked in and have a valid ticket (free of charge).

Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult, aged 18+.

Once you have entered, you are free to stay as long as you'd like.

As the aquarium is indoors your visit will not be affected by the weather. However, please be aware that in peak season the queue may extend as far as the outside, where the weather cannot be guaranteed.
