There was really no waiting time. We quickly got our bearings, bought an audio guide (€5) with an earphone and had all the information we needed and were able to move around on our own, independent of groupsNaomi

I managed to sort the App and to access my tickets without any problem. The Royal Palace Madrid is interesting- but overwhelming in it's opulence! We arrived early and gave ourselves time to look briefly around the Palace (50 mins ish, after 10 mins in queue and 5 getting bag screen and picking up an audio guide) before the kitchen tour, which I enjoyed. Was also some cool shade on a hot day! The Palace was getting very busy by the time we left and queues were long- we were pleased we'd been advised about that by other Headout users.Timothea

The tour of the palace was good. Although the tour guide cannot speak English so we had a hard time following through. I thought there will be free audio translation for us since There were quite a few of us in the group that speaks English. It could have been better if we understood the history of the Royal palace.Loredana

I thought we wouldn't have to wait in line and in the end we did, but luckily the line moved forward in 15 minutes.
Begin your tour with a stroll through the Plaza de la Ameria. Besides catching incredible views of the surrounding countryside, you can also appreciate the Baroque architecture of the palace from the courtyard. Information points are located in various rooms inside the palace to help visitors better understand the exhibits. If you are an art-lover, you will find a plethora of famous works by artists such as Francisco de Goya and Caravaggio. Art exhibitions are also often held inside the palace.
Learn more about all the major attractions in the palace, from a Spanish-speaking guide, such as the Hall of Columns, where Spain signed the agreement to enter the European Union. The Royal Armoury and the Grand Staircase are also fascinating sights. The 2000-square meter Royal Kitchen houses a wealth of preparation rooms and cooking equipment that are over 200 years old.
