CoupleVerified bookingYesterday4/5This is clearly the piece de resistance of any visit to Rome. The preservation is impressive and the atmosphere is second-to-none. The issue was with the audioguide (yet again). There were two of us, but only one access to the audioguide so we tried to have an 'ear' of the headphones each but eventually gave up as it impeded our enjoyment. Also, I had amessage saying I needed to meet someone to exchange my online ticket for a paper one. We followed the directions and ended up on a street corner with nothing and nobody. We went to a tourist information ( a good 15 minute walk in 30 degrees celcius heat) to be informed our tickets were downloadable from the Headout app. This was very confusing (especially for a 49 year old like me!!). Please make things a little clearer regarding this.DDebra H

The Colosseum was spectacular which tonnes of history! I unfortunately didn't realize until we got back to our hotel that I pre-purchased the audio guide, which would have been helpful during the visit, so that we had a better understanding. Oh well, my bad. Seeing the Roman Forum was also amazing! So rich in culture and history! I was so privleged to have been a guest in the country, the city and the Colosseum! Thank you!!PPascal P

It wasn't easy to find because they weren't identified as Headout but rather 'ITALIA Something', but after asking around, it was fine and we were in the right place. The tour and the entrances were easy enough to find, by asking again, of course. The audio guide, well, wasn't great at all. We would have liked an audio guide that explained what we were seeing at specific spots, not just a random, jumbled history of the Colosseum! For the price, I don't think the service is really there!MMichal W

The Colosseum is one of Italy’s most popular destinations, attracting over 5 million visitors every year. The Caracalla Baths
The Thermae Antonianae, one of the largest and best-preserved examples of an ancient spa complex, was constructed under the auspices of Emperor Caracalla in the southern part of the city. The building was finished in 216 A.D. and exhibits the rectangular plan typical of Imperial spa centers. The spa itself was not simply a place for bathing, sport, and health, it was also a place of study and for relaxing. Around the center of the structure the various parts of the spa are found in sequential order: the "Calidarium", the "Tepidarium", the "Frigidarium" and the "Natatio". There are also other zones and areas to be found around the two gymnasiums. The water system was made possible by the construction of a special duct from the main aqueduct called the Aqua Antoniana. Throughout its history the spa was reconstructed several times and before finally closing altogether in 537 A.D.
