With your digital QR public transport ride pass, you choose between 5, 10, or 15 rides for 1 traveler, depending on whether you book the 5-Ride Pass, 10-Ride Pass, or 15-Ride Pass. One successful QR scan counts as one ride, so each per-scan usage is clearly tracked.

The QR ride pass is emailed as a PDF and can be scanned directly from your mobile device at supported gates and validators. Once the PDF is saved, the QR code is scannable offline from your phone, so you do not need a data connection while traveling.

You can access tram T1, funicular lines F1 and F2, supported city metro lines including the M4 metro line to and from Sabiha Gökçen Airport, and short-distance, single-zone city bus routes. These options are designed for Istanbul’s main tourist routes and everyday city journeys.

There is no physical Istanbulkart, card deposit, or top-ups required, since everything is handled through the QR code. The pass is valid for 6 months from the purchase date, giving you flexibility to spread your rides across your stay or multiple visits.

What's not allowed

Unsupported lines: You cannot use this QR pass on the M11 Istanbul Airport metro line or the TCDD Gayrettepe–Istanbul Airport express.

Ferries and Marmaray: You cannot use this pass on public ferries, Bosphorus crossings, Marmaray, or Metrobüs.

Intercontinental buses: You cannot use this pass on bus journeys that cross between the European and Asian sides of Istanbul.

Extra rides: You cannot take more rides than the 5, 10, or 15 rides included in your chosen option.

Additional information

Validity: Your QR ride pass is valid for 6 months from the purchase date.
