The ATVO bus stop was a hundred metres from the arrivals exit of the airport.The bus ride to Piazzale Roma was seamless and took about 25 mins . The Vaporreto dock was next to the bus stop and the machines to exchange the ticket voucher for the actual tickets were all in front of the building ,here you select the language on the screen ,the keyboard shows on the screen and you need to tap it to enlarge it and tap in your voucher code and the tickets are dispatched. The journey to our destination was interesting and exciting mixing with locals and tourists and taking in the views as we went along . We purchased the 7 day pass and used it every day without a problem . Thankyou

Overall, a very useful, flexible and cost effective service. Two points to note: 1. There was a one day vaparetto strike during our stay, and we were not warned by email or text. Will we be compensated? 2. There is a short vaparetto crossing from Arsenale Nord to Arsenale, very useful during the Biennale. However, on the day we tried to use it, Venice Boat Show officials said we could not cross the boat show grounds to access the service. It was a private event, blocking access to a public service which we had paid for. We persisted and were eventually allowed through, but this needs to be addressed for future events. Great, the only criticism is the online ticket purchase. After successfully completing the purchase, a message appears: "You must print out the ticket!?!?" But in most cases, that’s not possible while on vacation. And it’s not even true, because a few lines further down there’s a note saying that you can print out the tickets at the ticket machines at the stops after entering the PNR code. It worked without a hitch. So why the warning “Attention, you must print out the ticket”? 🤔

All I can say is: GOOD AND AFFORDABLE. Everything went smoothly, from buying the ticket online to traveling by bus and vaporetto. The service is excellent. The vaporettos and buses run on time. One-way tickets are valid only for one single-way journey. You can either travel to the airport or from the airport.

Round-trip tickets must be kept securely and used within 30 days from the date of first validation.

In case of fog or bad weather, service may switch to a car transfer to Piazzale Roma.

Service staff is available at Desk 71 (Marco Polo Airport, first floor).

Vaporetto ACTV Water Bus & Mainland Bus Pass

Tickets must be validated before boarding ACTV public transport.

You can use your pass anytime within 24 months from the date of purchase.

Your validity period begins upon first use of the pass. Once validated, you can use your pass for the number of days selected during purchase.

Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.

Please display the same at each ticket redemption point along with a valid photo ID.

Vaporetto ACTV Water Bus Pass & Mainland Bus Tickets

You will receive an ACTV Public Transport Services Voucher via email. Exchange this at the Venezia Unica ticket office at Piazzale Roma and redeem a paper ticket with your voucher.

You can also use the Venezia Unica self-service ticket machine present at the ticket office.
