The Old Royal Palace is one of the oldest buildings in the Prague Castle complex. Its Vladislav Hall is one of the most spectacular sights in the Prague Castle. The gigantic hall was used for the coronation of kings, banquets, receptions and other major celebrations. Currently, formal gatherings for prominent events are held in this historic hall. On the southern wall of the room is a terrace, where a breathtaking scene awaits. The city of Prague, in all its glory, can be witnessed from this vantage point.
At St. Vitus Cathedral, you’ll hear stories about princes, kings, and emperors. Tour the Old Castle, Vladislav Hall, and then move onwards to St. George's Basilica, where you will learn all about the famous Czech saints. Finally, you will reach the Golden Lane, a street inside the Prague Castle complex. The houses were inhabited by defenders of the castle. Consisting of brightly colored houses, the lane provides a glimpse of the life of people who worked at the Castle.
