The Prague "Castle" is actually a complex with several different buildings you can visit. It is worth paying the ticket and doing the visit to enter the palace, the cathedral, the tiny church and the golden street. It's like a tourist must, so it's pretty full, with some queues and the feeling of being rushed inside the buildings as you just get carried by the crowd. The 20 minute introduction of the tour is quite interesting to understand the history and context of the complex and what you are about to see. But navigating the area and the entrance to all the buildings can get tricky and it is easy to get turned around. It would be useful to get indications on the tour about the entrances beyond a abstract and not to scale map they give out.

This was a quick and easy way to get tickets. The companay buys them ahead of time and then your look for their blue adn white umbrellas just to the right of the cathedral. They divided us up into groups by language and our guide gave us a great 10 minute orientation to the grounds. He was funny and informative and snet us on our way with all we needed to know to make teh most of our day at Prague castle. We were there from 10:30-3 and had a great lunch at the oldest restuarant on the grounds to the left of the cathedral. A great day and I would use headout again.

Firstly, the castle was easy to reach by streetcar from the Hotel Ariston, via the staircase, and we were able to find the person who explained the tour to us. We had booked our tickets online well in advance. I found the cathedral the most beautiful, if you could even choose a superlative here. The visit was on a Sunday, but I didn't think there were too many people around. It was easy to see everything. I haven't been to Prague for over 40 years, so if you love cities, I can only recommend Prague as one of the most beautiful big cities.

The tickets were easy to book online and instructions on where to go/meet with the booking were good. The introductory talk was excellent, very informative and our guide had good knowledge. We would have given 5 stars but found that St Vitus Cathedral had very little information unless you purchased an audio guide. We felt that some general description on boards in Czech and English would have helped confirm what we were looking at. Similarly in St George's there were some boards but they were all in Czech. It was difficult to use a translator on a phone because of low signal, narrow space and very low lighting conditions.

Everything was good. Communication and instructions was excellent, the blue and white umbrells helped tremendously! The guide, Dennis, was great. Provided good information, was friendly, helpful and funny. My issue was the audio guide, it was good quality but was not aligned with the tour. For example, I started where the guide reccomended and couldn't align it with the audio. I tried so many times, eventuly I gave up and left the tour. Not very good money well spent. I would have been better off buying the ticket and audio headset at the palace upon arrival.

We bought the tickets online. We approached the guides with the blue and white umbrellas on the castle grounds to find out the starting point of the tour. And it was actually these guides who described the route to us and provided us with a small map. The view of the city from the castle grounds is magnificent. There is a lot of construction going on at the castle itself and not everything was as accessible as expected. All in all, however, it was very worthwhile.

Very nice experience, when we arrived we immediately found the Headout person with the blue and white striped umbrella to get our tickets. Being Sunday the place was really crowded but we managed to see everything. The cathedral is really fabulous, for the castle we were a little disappointed because we thought there was more to see instead you can only visit the ground floor and the dungeons. Experience to be had, we will gladly go back !
