Well-organized service. Easy identification of the starting point. Provision of suitable equipment so that everyone, even those further away, can hear the guide (although during the last 15 minutes the system was not working; however, we were among the few who had such a system, as I noticed). Knowledgeable and friendly guide (however, guides should speak more slowly, more clearly, and without distorting words when speaking English, an issue we encountered with almost all Italian guides giving tours in English)

In such a special monument, our guide Maria demonstrated excellent knowledge, patience and enthusiasm (and an excellent English accent). We thank her! Thanks also to the workers at the head office who accommodated us by including us in a group that departed before the one we had booked, as we arrived early in Pompeii.

I studied Ancient History at school and as a treat my wife booked a trip to Rome and Pompeii. Pompeii is vast and the remains are amazing. The audio tour was excellent and we just rambled around taking in the many homes and civic and religious sites.
    • Explore the 2000-year-old Roman town of Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its well-preserved historic landmarks.

    • Time travel with an audio guide that narrates the city's history, and see the eerie casts of residents, frozen in time by volcanic ash.

    • At the Amphitheatre, be awed by the frescos of the battle between Nucerians and Pompeiians, and see the Temple of Apollo, dating back to 120 BC.

    • Fun fact: Pompeii has appeared in pop culture for years, including the Italian Bob episode of The Simpsons.

    • Entry to Pompeii

    • Official Pompeii audio guide in English, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese & Chinese

    • Expert English-speaking guide (as per option selected)

  • You can cancel these tickets up to 24 hours before the experience begins and get a full refund.

Our tour guide Claudia was excellent, she was warm & engaging, kept it interesting & added plenty of humour. What we saw was fascinating, but we felt we should of been given the option at the end to remain in Pompei & explore further ourselves. We only saw a very small portion
