The procedure, i.e. sending and collecting the tickets, went smoothly. Therefore 5 stars! However, a map is useful to find your way through the area. But you don't get this for free or for little money, you have to buy it together with a guidebook for €16.70. That's outrageous! That is outrageous! Therefore only 4 stars. We didn't buy the guidebook and map, but photographed them from someone else and then obtained the information online. Pompeii at the beginning of November is a dream. Warm, great light (we were there in the afternoon) and not crowded!!!

Built 2,000 years ago... But how logical, functional, beautiful and cared for! The villas are perfectly integrated into the landscape, the windows offer magnificent views of the Neopolitan bay and mountains, socially significant buildings are striking in scale and proportions. Even drinking fountains (utilitarian in their purpose) are decorated with marble heads and arranged systematically and quite often! Aesthetics and harmony with nature amaze modern man, and how fantastic this city was 20 centuries ago .... I can't imagine!

The historic Pompeii is one for the books. Our whole family was in awe of everything we saw - the ruins, how the old buildings are still being excavated, the people who were buried in ash, the highest point of the whole already. Had a good time at Pompeii. It was super interesting to see and learn from all the historical sites in the precinct, and everything is remarkably well-preserved. Crowd wasn't too big, and the park is quite spacious and doesn't feel crowded. Highly recommend!!

Was a lovely walk around the ruins. The weather was lovely wasn't over crowded. Very interesting place and felt like you lived in the experience.
