The guided tour of Plitvice Lakes National Park was a very well-organized and informative experience, especially for first-time visitors. The guide explained the park’s history, the formation of the lakes and waterfalls, and shared interesting details about the area’s flora and fauna. The information was presented in a relaxed and engaging way, without making the tour tiring. A major advantage of the tour was the efficient planning of the route. The guide knew exactly which areas were worth visiting at certain times to avoid crowds and to get the best views for photos. The pace was also well-balanced, with enough breaks to admire the scenery and take photos. The group atmosphere was pleasant, and the guide was always attentive and available to answer questions. Her experience and passion for the area were evident, which made the trip more interesting than a simple walk on your own.

The Plitvice Lakes are simply an absolute dream and are definitely among the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited! The natural scenery is breathtaking—crystal-clear, turquoise water, countless waterfalls, and beautiful wooden walkways winding through the heart of the national park. Everything looks incredibly well-maintained yet completely natural. The tranquility and unique atmosphere were particularly impressive. Around every bend, a new spectacular view awaits. The hiking trails are very well marked, and you can experience the beauty of the lakes from many different perspectives. The boat and train rides in the park also make the visit something special. A true highlight in Croatia and highly recommended for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone who wants to experience a truly magical place. We’ll definitely be back! 🌿💧

Our guide Dalibor was good at communication - WhatsApped us well before the due time to make contact and guided us to meet him clearly. The initial outline was really clear and he took time to answer our detailed questions about geology and plants, and to take photos for us. He was very knowledgeable and his intimate connection and love of the park was very clear. We were very impressed with his knowledge and skill in guiding us. It was a pleasure to be shown round the park by him. We would strongly recommend Dalibor. One lack of clarity from the website was that it was not clear that park entry tickets needed to be bought in addition to the guiding package. Practically, because we were on an early trip we just bought them at the gate, but it could be a problem when it gets busier.

Incredible waterfalls. Beautiful forests. Hiking is easy for 60-yr-olds. But, it can be difficult to see where each step ends when going downhill on boardwalks. Be sure to look down when traversing those paths. We took Route C. It took 4 hours at 10am on a Thursday in mid-May entering at the North Entrance (#1). Note: Google Maps directs you to Emoloyee Parking Lot. Visitors Parking is accross the street. We bought our tickets a few days ahead. But, they were still selling tickets at the park when we arrived. Crowd was small, but Instagrammers/Tik Tokkers/random tourists caused jam ups at the most scenic sites. It seems like many tourist are more interested in posing (rather elaborately) instead of viewing the natural wonders.

I visited Plitvice Lakes on May 3, 2026, and I’m thrilled with the experience. I spent a day immersed in nature, where water reigns supreme. The diversity of the lakes, the waterfalls—both large and small—and the vast and varied vegetation make this area truly special. There are various trails with wooden walkways or dirt paths; you can take a boat to move from one lake to another, and there are also buses for faster travel. I recommend choosing the north entrance (or No. 1) to do the full tour.

Arriving through the main entrance, you’re immediately greeted by the magnificent waterfall and its breathtaking setting. The hike around the lakes takes place in an exceptional setting, surrounded by nature in a kaleidoscope of colors. The trail is very well maintained, and we walk along a network of boardwalks right above the water The boat ride offers a different perspective on the lakes. The return trip on the panoramic bus rounds out this must-see tour.

Parking was easy, and after a short walk, we arrived at the entrance. We started by following Route A because we didn’t have a lot of time and had to move on. However, that went by quickly, so we decided to follow Route B, which includes the boat ride. It wasn’t much longer than Route A, so in hindsight we should have done Route C; the times listed are quite long, but if you just keep walking at a steady pace, it’s much shorter. It was all really beautiful!

Plitvice Lakes National Park is a must see if you have time while visiting Croatia! I thought the colors I saw of the water of the Adriatic Sea I saw along the coast were just limited to the sea, but the color and clarity of the lakes had me in awe! My friend and I walked the upper and lower lakes and enjoyed each waterfall, whether it was big or small. It was such a memorable place!

Entry and Parking is smooth. After booking chat with back end went well. It's an amazing experience to visit this park. The routes are clearly marked. Boat ride and then bus back to entry/exit point is too convenient. Upper and Lower lake are beautiful of their own. Required rest room and coffee shops will ease your journey. Altogether a memorable experience

No waiting in line at the entrance. The ticket was valid for all boat trips. I didn’t use the shuttle bus, but it was included in the price. The park is definitely worth a visit. All the paths are very well maintained, but be aware: they are not wheelchair accessible!
