From Zadar: Full-Day Trip to Plitvice Lakes National Park

It was a very pleasant start. The meeting point and wristband pickup were handled with friendly service; our guide, Paula, was charming, friendly, and laid-back… and very helpful. The bus was comfortable and cool; the lunch break was at a beautiful, peaceful spot in the woods, with the option to eat your own food at picnic tables or dine at the restaurant… with freedom of choice, nothing too structured. The tour itself struck a good balance between activity and breaks. The tour guide was always attentive and patient, providing just the right amount of information—nothing excessive. The beauty of the place is breathtaking, and the atmosphere was always uplifting thanks to the scenery. Despite encountering other groups—we sometimes went in opposite directions—or the boat ride across the lake involving few delays (some were leaving while others were arriving)—there was a certain balance among so many people… the peace of the place fosters endless patience. The park’s signs and directions are clear. The tourist facilities—restrooms and common areas for resting—are in good condition, and there’s also a natural spring for refilling water bottles. The entire experience was perfectly balanced. We were very satisfied.

​Outstanding Tour & Thoughtful, Attentive Guide! ​We booked a day tour to Plitvice Lakes National Park from Zadar, and it exceeded our expectations. The bus ride was smooth and comfortable, and our guide was wonderful. ​Because we had landed early that morning and had a sleepless night prior, we were pretty exhausted and just wanted a quiet, low-key experience rather than a super interactive tour. Our guide was incredibly observant and respectful—recognizing that we needed rest, they kept their voice gentle and gave us plenty of space to relax without feeling pressured to chat. At the same time, the guide was extremely knowledgeable about the park and expertly adapted the routes and walking pace to suit our group. ​Plitvice itself is breathtaking. The walk around the lakes is a must-do—it offers a total reset for your mind, crisp fresh air, and vibrant natural colors that don't even look real. ​Highly recommended for anyone staying in Zadar!

The tour was very well-organized and a lot of fun. We did Route H. The park is well signposted, so if you got far away from the group, you could easily follow the path. The bus had working air conditioning; the only drawback was that the 40-minute break on the way there was unnecessary and could have been spent in the national park instead. And the national park itself is, of course, simply beautiful—such clear, blue-shining water, wonderful. Doing it with a group was good for the first time, but I would do it again without a group.

The guide provided excellent knowledge about Croatia during the long bus trip. Tour of Plitvice was well organized and the routing was very efficient with no waiting line at all points. The course itself was pretty demanding with walking of about 8km.

The tour was very well organised. Our guide was friendly, relaxed and informative. The walk around the lakes was very beautiful. It was a nice temperature for walking when we visited, the Plitvice area is markedly cooler than Zadar.

A beautiful park, excellent organization, knowledgeable, local, engaging, and friendly guides (Bojan for the park portion, Ante for the Old Town tour). Highly recommended and money well spent—nothing more to add.
