Luckily I had booked tickets for a 5-day pass to Florence! We weren't the only ones who wanted to visit the Uffizi Gallery!!!! Very crowded, so having skip-the-line tickets is a real plus to make the most of the museums. What a pleasure, despite the crowd, to enjoy this magnificent place, to see the originals of all these master paintings and sculptures! It is essential to see them in real life, to see the brushstrokes, the softness of the marble, the amazing ceilings!!!! Without the skip-the-line tickets, with the heat, I don't know if we would have been able to visit it... I didn't get the skip-the-line ticket for the Duomo Cathedral and the incredible line in front of the building made us give up on the visit. The Pitti Palace! Another must-see wonder! The frescoes, the ceilings, the paintings, the atmosphere of the furnished rooms to discover, the magnificent chandeliers... everything is enchanting! Just one small hitch! The Boboli Gardens... luckily seen a few years ago. It is undergoing renovations, many sculptures are wrapped up, the noise of machinery, and the oppressive heat in the early afternoon (35° nonetheless) made us turn back after a few attempts to go up the paths, which are really very steep! We are returning delighted from our one-week stay in Florence 🙂 Have a great visit, future tourists... prepare your trip for the famous places that attract a lot of people and let yourself be swept away by the incredible surprises that this beautiful city offers us 🙂!

The Palace was so much bigger than I expected. The rooms were decadent and the paintings were amazing. We didn't explore the gardens very much, it was an incredibly hot day and the gardens are very steep- something to consider if you are coming in the summer or do not have good mobility. There was also a lot of conservation work going on so much of the garden area just outside the palace was under wraps which was a shame as it would have been beautiful. Recommend visiting but not with young children.

Hassle-free entry, thanks to the timed tickets. Palazzo Pitti is stunning! Impressive and gigantic. The paintings and furnishings of the rooms are simply great. The Boboli Gardens are very beautiful and well-maintained. Beautiful views of Florence. Unfortunately, there is currently a lot of maintenance work going on. The entire estate is kept clean, despite the many tourists. The small cafe is helpful for taking a break.

This 5-day pass is great; you can do the visits at a relaxed pace. One visit per day is ideal, as these are large places with a lot of walking and things to see. When I arrived, I just showed my digital ticket, they scanned it, and I went in. The Uffizi is incredible, your eyes aren't enough to take in so much art, it's beautiful! There is a lot of walking and exploring to do in the Boboli Gardens, and the Pitti Palace is beautiful! I recommend it.

Yesterday
A wonderful visit to Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. It was a very hot day and we were really pleased with the hospitality area allowing us to cool down with refreshments. The refreshments were all reasonably priced and the service of the waiting staff were very good. We only visited the Palantine art gallery as my husband is not able to walk or stand for long. The art work was very interesting. It was wonderful to see the work from Camille Pisarro amongst others. Especially the sculpture by Pietro Tenerani - Psyche Abandoned- lots of beautiful sculptures to view. We visited the book shop and found some interesting prints. We would have bought some if there were art/ plan tubes to allow us to travel home in our suitcases. I did buy an interesting book about the Pitti Palace and the galleries which I was unable to view. Afterwards we went to view the Boboli gardens. Sadly we found the directions unhelpful. We did walk down to the Grotto which was really interesting. We were sadly disappointed as we were unable to find the rest of the gardens. There were no staff on hand to ask. After looking at my book of the Pitti Palace and Boboli gardens I found there were a great deal more to view of the gardens - such as the lily pond / pineapple garden and Island pond. I realise now we should have walked up the garden instead of down to the Grotto. Anyway I will say what we did see from our exit were the spectacular views across Florence and overall we were pleased to have made the trip to the Pitti Palace.

A palace to visit far from the tourist crowds and the city center—a peaceful, true museum—and the gardens are definitely worth exploring in their entirety; don’t just stay in the first section, which is unfortunately under construction 😒 But explore all the upper sections—head back down and then go back up—and discover some peaceful, relaxing spots along the paths, the Maison du Ctron… in short, look past the disappointment of the construction work
