Founded in the late 18th century, the Pinacoteca di Brera is one of Italy’s most significant art museums, renowned for its collection spanning from the Middle Ages to modern art. The gallery is centrally located in Milan’s Brera district, making it easy to continue your city exploration after your visit.

What to bring

A valid photo ID may be requested at the entrance to verify the name on your booking.

What’s not allowed

Large bags, suitcases, and bulky luggage cannot be taken inside for security reasons.

Animals are not allowed, except for certified service dogs.

Eating and drinking are prohibited within the exhibition areas.

Flash photography, tripods, and video equipment are not permitted inside the galleries.

Accessibility

The museum is fully accessible to wheelchair users, with elevators and ramps throughout the venue.

Accessible restroom facilities are available on-site.

Additional information

The gallery is closed on Mondays.

Admission is free for visitors under 18, with discounted tickets available for EU youth aged 18–25.

On the first Sunday of each month, entry is free with prior reservation.

Plan at least 1–2 hours for a complete visit.

Re-entry is not permitted.

Try visiting the nearby Brera Botanical Garden, located next to the gallery, which offers free entry.
