With the tickets we bought online, we were able to go straight through the entrance to the park. The park is very beautiful and quite large. We walked to the palace. There is also a shuttle. The distance is not very far, but it is relatively steep going up and down. Good footwear is important. The palace itself is very impressive and the richly decorated rooms are fascinating. The online guide provides further information on all the stops outside and inside the palace. It is important to arrive at the palace on time for your booked slot in order to be admitted. There was a short wait (15 minutes in our case) before the booked time.

Portugal never dissapoints and Sintra was no different! Just a 40 minute train ride from Lisbon, these beautiful sights were just breathtaking. I've never been so immersed in beauty, the Castle of the Moors and Quinta da Regaleira were beyond beautiful. You need to devote 2-3 hours to walking each because there's so much to take in. We even went on a rainy day and it was still just stunning, we were encapsulated in a cloud at one point which was really cool too. Highly recommend both places and Sintra in general!

We came to Sintra with very high expectations for Pena Palice. After visiting Royal Treasure Palace Ajuda in Lisbon and the Palace in Queluz our visit in Pena was somewhat short of excitement- very limited exposition, long line ups and the weather turned foul with sudden droves of rain and wind. Morris's castle was more of what we have imagined to be. No luck for Regaleira due to inclement weather. We got a taste of the village and maybe revisiting some other time.

Both places are absolutely gorgeous and a must see in Sintra. I love that we were able to get both and not have to worry about anything. I wish you could receive your ticket in your email as well, rather than having to download the app. The app was hassle free after getting it though. I was told we needed 2-3 hours at Pena Palace, so we gave ourselves that plus travel time, and ended up having a lot of time to spare, as we couldn't change the time slot.

A fantastic day in Sintra. Pena Palace is probably best viewed from the outside. It's very busy inside and with the crowds you feel rushed through. The park around Pena Palace is wonderful and the palace itself is beautiful from the outside. Qinta is absolutely gorgeous all around. Very few crowds and amazing wells and caves with gorgeous architecture. Fun for the whole family! The Indiction Well is an absolute stunner and must see. Bring the kids!

Beautiful surroundings and gardens of the Pena Palace, and the Palace was stunning and colorful outside. However, inside it was not that special (mostly 19th and early 20th century furniture in small dark rooms). I would recommed to just visit the park and the palace outside: you can get all the way up and right close to the palace without the ticket. Easy to buy the tickets online, clear instructions for the visit.

A peaceful and relaxing visit in a verdant, fairytale-like setting. 🌿✨ Quinta da Regaleira in Sintra is truly worth seeing. I booked my ticket through Headout and received an audio guide, which made the experience much more immersive and helped me appreciate the history and symbolism of the place. The estate is beautiful to wander through at your own pace, with gardens, tunnels, towers, and the famous Initiation Well creating a magical atmosphere. Some spots—especially the narrow staircases in the tower and the well—may require a bit of waiting if you want photos, but the surroundings make the wait pleasant. Practical tips: there is a café and toilets on site. It’s about a 25-minute walk from the train station. Tuk-tuks usually offer rides for around €10 per person and will often say the walk isn’t worth it—but honestly, the walk is quite enjoyable. The route passes several scenic spots where you can stop for photos in a cool and pleasant environment. If you have mobility restrictions, I would recommend taking the hop-on hop-off bus so you can also visit other sites like Pena Palace on the same trip. There is also a small tourist train in Sintra, though it wasn’t operating during the winter when I visited—so it’s worth checking if it runs during the summer or busier seasons. Finally, make sure to book your tickets to Regaleira in advance so you can start your visit right away without waiting at the entrance. Overall, a magical and relaxing experience in Sintra that I would highly recommend. 🏰

Superb combined tour. We really enjoyed Quinta de Regaleira and spent two wonderful hours there. We would have liked to have had a little more time between the two visits (allow two hours between the two mini-tours) as the distances are long and impossible to cover on foot. The tour of Pena Palace is also very enjoyable but more traditional! It would have been nicer to have brought a picnic.

Wonderful facility. Easy to purchase tickets. Very beautiful park. I would recommend indicating the length and difficulty of the return routes. I walked the blue trail with an elderly person and we had some difficulty. The difficulty was not indicated on the castle square.
