CoupleVerified booking3 weeks ago4/5Seeing the palace was nice however be prepared for long lines and barley an opportunity to get a photo becaue there are so many people. We don't even get all the way to the castle on this trip because the cafe was closed and we couldn't hike anymore without getting water. It is beautiful however bring water, wear comfortable sneakers and be prepared to wait in long lines to get in and get on the busMMaria K
CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago4/5Booking through Headout went super well, the app is simple to use, and you often get discounts the more you book through it, so we booked all of our activities in Portugal through it. Regarding the Pena Palace: The inside of the palace didn't really blow us away personally, but the huge park around it made up for it. There is so much to discover there, and you can spend many hours there.JJacek K
GroupVerified booking5 days ago4/5Pena Palace is much more interesting than Quinta da Regaleira. Watch out for transportation in Sintra! Anyone planning to walk to the attractions should set aside an entire day—there are lots of steep climbs and relatively long distances. Other than that, there are a few other options. Naturally, I ended up with the most expensive one, which turned out to be the worst. Better check your options before arriving in Sintra.JJoyce J
GroupVerified booking3 weeks ago4/5The actual palace was really interesting and very beautiful. The amount of time spent queuing outside and then again inside despite have pre booked tickets was disappointing and annoying. We felt overwhelmed by the crowds and felt there were too many people admitted at one time and this took the edge off the day.EEdith H
CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago4/5Access to the site from the parking lot by bus is very convenient. On the other hand, it would have been important to know that taking the shuttle would have made it easier to get to the reception area. That being said, the visit to the Palace is well worth it. It is a very interesting historical site to visit.
