Very scenic visit with beautiful monuments and gardens. A slight preference for the gardens of quinta da régalera.
Very crowded. We were lucky enough to visit quinta in the morning when it opened, and that's the best way to take photos in peace.
A word of warning about the buses, which have to be managed in relation to our visiting times.

We had our tickets ready. However, since it was not high season we had to wait more than people who did not have tickets because they are strict with the schedule. The audio could be delayed or brought forward. At the Pena Palace the audio is free so it is not necessary to pay extra.

Was a great experience however I only got 1 audio guide for Pena Palace only. The audio guide wasn't very helpful either. I just paused it to read the available description in each room as I found it to be more informative.

2 beautiful parks and castles. On time we were allowed to acces. For Pena castle we liked the audio tour. However the numbers in the audio guide were not always the same as the numbers in the castle.

It was far too crowded at Peña Palace. Limited access might be one way to make it a more bearable experience. In addition, parts of the rooms were completely packed away and could not be viewed. I don't want to comment on the scaffolding outside. Quinta da Regaleira was much better! The complete opposite. The flow of visitors was better regulated. Not so many building sites.
