We purchased the 3 day pass and what a great service. We just hopped on and off the vaperetto with ease and didn't have to think about the cost.
We used the service a lot especially our free day to get to Murano, Burano and around the main part of Venice. Worth investing in if you do not want to fight the crowds and not worry about costs.

This was the best idea for getting around Venice. Very convenient and regular rides. I thought the vaporetti may be crowded- some were and some weren't. We definitely got to see more of Venice this way.

I bought day tickets online, and as soon as we arrived in Venice, we went straight to the ticket machine, which dispensed our tickets after we entered the code received by email. We only used them to get around by vaporetto, and it was super convenient! Lots of vaporettos and clear directions. The only issue we ran into was the vaporetto from Rialto to the station, because it filled up entirely with locals while tourists were left waiting there. So maybe add a few more vaporettos on Saturdays and Sundays.NNeil M
