Park Güell is a really cool place and one of the most unique spots in Barcelona. Everything is super colorful and kind of feels like you’re walking through a fairytale. Seeing the mosaic lizard in person was fun, and the views of the city are really nice, even though the weather wasn’t the best when we went. Luckily it wasn’t too crowded that day, so it was easy to walk around and enjoy the park. Only complaint is that you have to download an app to get the map. Overall, it’s still a great place to visit and definitely worth checking out if you’re in Barcelona.

We bought the park güell+sagrada familia tour ticket together and as we planned, there was availability for the park güell tour on the same day. The cafes are authentic and you can eat local food and drinks at reasonable prices. We were able to enter by scanning the QR codes without any problems. The inside was full of magnificent Gaudi works. On the second day, we met our guide at the specified time. We entered without waiting in line. The guide fluently talked about every subject related to sagrada familia. It was a perfect tour.

The park is very large and beautiful, and easy to explore thanks to the app you can access. The view of the city is very characteristic, and you can even see the Sagrada Familia😍. The park is also impeccably maintained. It is definitely a place not to be missed. Finally, the staff were very kind and welcoming. I would recommend any tourist to visit this fantastic place.

The park was a great place to take a walk and relax surrounded by nature in colorful hues and the gentle onset of spring. The place does not live up to Gaudi's genius in other works. The app crashes. Public transportation is scarce compared to the rest of the city, much to the delight of taxi drivers.

Getting Started

Arrive at the recommended entrance on Avinguda del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya, where escalator access is available. Present your ticket at the main gate for validation and proceed through a brief security check before entering the park.

What to bring

Wear comfortable walking shoes as this experience involves a fair amount of walking on uneven paths and multiple stairways.

During the summer months, it is recommended to bring hats/caps to protect from the sun, and water for hydration due to high temperatures.

Accessibility

For visitors with mobility problems, Park Güell offers two free wheelchairs for hire (subject to availability).

The tourist coach car park has three places for people with reduced mobility.

Additional information

During peak season, April to August, expect a considerable wait time at entry.

Note: Park Güell has three entrances—choose what suits you! Av. del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya has escalators (though it’s steep), Carretera del Carmel (nº 23) is ideal for coach drop-off, and Carrer d’Olot brings you right into the Monumental Zone.

If you'd like to skip a lot of climbing and stairs, a great option is to take public transport like Bus #24 or grab a taxi. This will get you to the entrance at Carretera del Carmel, which is just a short 100 meters from the bus stop. You'll find the area with the monuments only another 100 meters in, and mostly flat 200-meter stroll!

Children under 6 can enter for free, they just need free tickets. For a seamless entry, book their free tickets during checkout.

Guests are allowed to bring outside food and water into the venue. However, they must consume it in the designated picnic areas only.

The audio guide is available on the Headout app. Instructions to download will be shared with your ticket, and you can also access them offline. Do bring your own headphones.
