I visited Park Güell and was truly enchanted by it. I arrived about 15 minutes early, and since I didn’t know where the entrance was, I asked the staff for directions: they were incredibly kind and helpful, making me feel right at home. The park is simply wonderful: meticulously detailed, full of color, and with a unique atmosphere. Antoni Gaudí’s works are stunning and make every corner special, almost fairy-tale-like. The view of Barcelona from above is spectacular and worth the visit on its own. Walking along the paths was relaxing and at the same time stimulating, because there’s always something new to discover. It’s a place that perfectly combines art, nature, and tranquility. It was a truly special experience that will stay with me forever. I highly recommend a visit to anyone passing through Barcelona!

It was a wonderful trip to Park Güell in Barcelona. There were a lot of people on the steps, but it was worth it—the park is very large, so the crowds naturally spread out. There’s a beautiful view of Barcelona, and the audio-guided tour was also excellent and informative. I highly recommend this trip; you can take lots of great photos, even of the lizard, despite the crowds!!

This is a beautiful park well worth visiting, especially as a way to gain a deeper understanding of Gaudí’s genius. My honest advice is to book your visit a few days in advance—both to plan your day more effectively and to save a few euros!

The park is really beautiful. There are things to see and it’s a nice place to take a walk in nature. Wear comfortable clothes. However, there isn’t much else to see, nor are there any activities to do inside the park, or a place to sit down and have a coffee or something similar—that’s why I’m giving it 1 star minus.

    • Plaça de la Natura (Greek Theater): Visit the park’s central terrace, bordered by a serpentine bench covered in trencadís mosaic, offering sweeping views over Barcelona.

    • Dragon Stairway: Admire the iconic mosaic salamander, known as “El Drac,” which greets visitors at the main entrance and has become a symbol of the park.

    • Viaducts and Pathways: Wander along elevated stone viaducts and winding paths, designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape and provide unique perspectives of the city.

  • What to bring

    • Wear comfortable walking shoes as this experience involves a fair amount of walking on uneven paths and multiple stairways.

    • During the summer months, it is recommended to bring hats/caps to protect from the sun, and water for hydration due to high temperatures.

    Accessibility

    • For visitors with mobility problems, Park Güell offers two free wheelchairs for hire (subject to availability).

    • The tourist coach car park has three places for people with reduced mobility.

    Additional information

    • During peak season, April to August, expect a considerable wait time at entry.

    • Note: Park Güell has three entrances—choose what suits you! Av. del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya has escalators (though it’s steep), Carretera del Carmel (nº 23) is ideal for coach drop-off, and Carrer d’Olot brings you right into the Monumental Zone.

    • If you'd like to skip a lot of climbing and stairs, a great option is to take public transport like Bus #24 or grab a taxi. This will get you to the entrance at Carretera del Carmel, which is just a short 100 meters from the bus stop. You'll find the area with the monuments only another 100 meters in, and mostly flat 200-meter stroll!

    • Children under 6 can enter for free, they just need free tickets. For a seamless entry, book their free tickets during checkout.

    • Guests are allowed to bring outside food and water into the venue. However, they must consume it in the designated picnic areas only.

    • The audio guide is available on the Headout app. Instructions to download will be shared with your ticket, and you can also access them offline. Do bring your own headphones.

    • Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.

    • Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the redemption point.

    • Please arrive at the redemption point 15 minutes before the scheduled time of your visit to avoid any delays.

    Ticket redemption point

    • Please check your final voucher for the redemption point details and specific instructions.
