The visit was interesting but too Short, regarding the size of the Monument. I was desapointed not to See the chamber of députies (the highest of the building) No guided Tour in French. I Had to translate to my husband Every time and i couldn't Listen and translate the Same time. Damage that is no Audioguide available

It is worthing visiting Palace of Parliament. If you book your tickets in advance it is easier. So I totally recommend to visit it.

The ticketing was fine. If I have reservations, it is about the tour itself, which you presumably have no control over, and the quality of the venue. The security procedures rival those at an airport. The building is a curiosity more than something to appreciate aesthetically.

The person at the agency was very interesting and friendly. The guide was also very interesting and friendly. The tour was fascinating and I recommend the agency. I'll certainly use them again when I return to Romania. However, there are 2 different addresses given on the ticket purchase confirmation page. Fortunately, we received a message on whatsapp with the exact location. Allow 2 hours: the appointment is half an hour before the visit to the agency, and with all the security checks we started late (which is not a problem for me but can be for people who have a precise organization). I'd like to thank the person at the agency and the guide.

Palace of the Parliament

Enjoy this comprehensive guided tour through Bucharest's Palace of the Parliament, one of Europe's most impressive buildings. Your informative local guide will walk alongside you, sharing intriguing facts and intel about Romania's Parliament. Walk past large halls, opulent decorations and fascinating interiors, as you gain a deeper understanding about Romania's history and politics. A name you'll hear often will be "Nicolae Ceausescu", who played a role in shaping Romania. On the ground floor, you'll pick up facts and figures about the palace it inself. On the first level, you'll see the main meeting rooms and the Ballroom, learning about its maddening architecture. The 2nd level holds the balcony that offers great views over the Fountains Avenue. All in all, a great, detailed tour of Europe's largest building that shouldn't be missed when in the city!

Ceausescu Mansion

Follow your guide through Nicolae Ceausescu's private office, the chess room, and the bedrooms. Everything is kept in place so you will see closets lined with fur coats that once belonged to Elena Ceausescu, or the dictator's pyjamas folded and placed on his bed. Walk past the family dining room and relaxation table, and learn about how the dictator lived a lavish life back then.

Make your way to the greenhouse, where the recreated tropical climate allowed for exotic fruits like bananas and pineapples to grow. Fun fact: Ceausescu was a fan of exotic birds too, which is why the garden was populated by peacocks. Last but not the least, head over to the indoor pool, which is decorated entirely in blue mosaic and has themes which are reminiscent of those from Ancient Rome. See all of this glamor in one house that was far away from people's eyes. This was where a dictator's family was living a lavish life, as the rest of the population were starving.

Photography is allowed (no flash and tripods).
Passport or valid ID card is necessary to enter the Palace of Parliament. If you are not in the possession of one of the two mentioned documents, your tour will be automatically canceled.

Ceausescu Mansion

Photography is allowed. However, using flash is prohibited.
Wear warm clothing as temperatures can drop down to low levels here.
Put on comfortable shoes, as there is a moderate amount of walking involved.
