The tour of the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest was truly impressive and an unforgettable experience. From the very first steps inside, it became clear why this building is considered one of the most remarkable structures in the world. The enormous halls, wide corridors, and lavish interiors reflect not only architectural grandeur but also the meticulous work of skilled craftsmen. I was particularly captivated by the play of light streaming through the massive windows, the marble finishes, and the magnificent chandeliers that give the rooms a majestic atmosphere. The guide was knowledgeable, sharing not only details about the construction process and historical facts but also fascinating stories that brought the palace’s past to life. The tour offered not only an appreciation of Romania’s cultural and historical richness but also a sense of how this building symbolizes the nation’s ambition and strength. This is a place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Bucharest — a unique opportunity to witness something truly grand and one of a kind.Larisa

It was interesting, but they showed us only a small part, namely only 3%. This is disappointing, because I would really like to see the palace.Parag

Very well planned, our names were with the security guards before we arrived, check in was seamless and the guide was really great. The instructions re meeting point could have been a bit more detailed such as mentioning that entry is through side door, etc. it resulted in some confusion at the place and we found several people, including elderly people, having to walk around in the sun. The tour was really impressive and informative.Martine

It was interesting, the lady guide was great! You see only a small section of the building, but that's what it is. RecommendedDiane

The venue is pretty, but not worth the effort to walk there on a super hot day. This trip just gets you into the standard, regular group tour and there we're about 50 people in the group- so not a small group with a separate tour guide, which is what I expected.
Palace of the Parliament
Enjoy this comprehensive guided tour through Bucharest's Palace of the Parliament, one of Europe's most impressive buildings. Your informative local guide will walk alongside you, sharing intriguing facts and intel about Romania's Parliament. Walk past large halls, opulent decorations and fascinating interiors, as you gain a deeper understanding about Romania's history and politics. A name you'll hear often will be "Nicolae Ceausescu", who played a role in shaping Romania. On the ground floor, you'll pick up facts and figures about the palace it inself. On the first level, you'll see the main meeting rooms and the Ballroom, learning about its maddening architecture. The 2nd level holds the balcony that offers great views over the Fountains Avenue. All in all, a great, detailed tour of Europe's largest building that shouldn't be missed when in the city!
Ceausescu Mansion
Follow your guide through Nicolae Ceausescu's private office, the chess room, and the bedrooms. Everything is kept in place so you will see closets lined with fur coats that once belonged to Elena Ceausescu, or the dictator's pyjamas folded and placed on his bed. Walk past the family dining room and relaxation table, and learn about how the dictator lived a lavish life back then.
Make your way to the greenhouse, where the recreated tropical climate allowed for exotic fruits like bananas and pineapples to grow. Fun fact: Ceausescu was a fan of exotic birds too, which is why the garden was populated by peacocks. Last but not the least, head over to the indoor pool, which is decorated entirely in blue mosaic and has themes which are reminiscent of those from Ancient Rome. See all of this glamor in one house that was far away from people's eyes. This was where a dictator's family was living a lavish life, as the rest of the population were starving.
