Booked this tour primarily because I couldn't get a 'direct entry' booking for free entry to Notre Dame on the cathedral's official website, despite trying very early when the ND booking slot opened! This turned out to be a fateful benefit. Pepe was our guide and he was excellent! Apart from the information about Notre Dame it was fascinating to hear about the Rue de Venise, see the Zero Point of Paris and learn that Louis derived from Clovis (even the French-fluent, Doctor of history that I was visiting with didn't know that!). Thanks to Pepe's information and enthusiasm we even visited the Crypte archéologigue after touring Notre Dame - a thing that we did not plan to do, but thoroughly enjoyed!

Hello, Our tour guide was excellent and we enjoyed the information she shared with us as we walked along the exterior of the church. However, we ran into a major problem when entering the church. The line was huge and we were told we had to go to the end of it -- there was no "reserved entry" as we expected. My husband was not able to stand in the line, so after a few tries, she was able to convince a guard to let us go thru a handicapped-accessible entrance. It wasn't as we expected, but we were grateful for her persistence.

Learned nice details during the tour. However, sometimes too much info on all the saints depicted at the three entrances. Unfortunately, there were no reserved tickets. Fortunately, it did not take much time to enter Notre Dame without a reservation.

    The guide was great - friendly, knowledgeable and funny. We learned a lot about the history of the Isle de la Cité and he explained the facade of Notre Dame in detail, in a way that was very easy to understand. He also answered many questions about the fire and seemed to have answers for everyone. We were surprised that we didn't actually get skip-the-line tickets with this tour, which is what I had understood. We ended up having to wait in line with everyone else. We were there early morning, so the line-up wasn't very long, but I can imagine I would have been quite annoyed if we had had to wait for longer, because to tell the truth, the main reason I bought the tour was to have a timed entrance to the cathedral.
