Was a bit nervous about the weather since it was all clouds in the afternoon but luckly it cleared up! The guide was super chill and explained a lot about how the northern lights work. I came solo, met a few other solo folks—honestly felt like a little adventure club. Waited maybe 45 mins for the lights to show, and when they did, it was like nothing I’ve ever seen. Bring snacks though, I got hungry waiting and there’s not much around.

What a MAGICAL night! We went as a couple and it was our first time seeing the aurora. The guide had this infectious energy, even when it was freezing and people were losing hope. So I’m not gonna lie, was expecting a bit more action from the sky. The aurora was there, but pretty faint for most of the night. Still, our guide did his best and kept the mood up. The bus was warm (thank god) and I did get a couple decent pics. Maybe just unlucky with the weather. Would try again if I had more time.
