Hohenschwangau Castle is the quieter alternative to Neuschwanstein Castle. Around 20 people took part in our guided tour with an audio guide. We were able to use the German audio guide, contrary to the selection made when booking online. The tour was just the right length, our guide Elke was very friendly and always had time for questions and short, pleasant conversations outside of the tour. However, photos and videos are prohibited during the tour. The online booking via the Headout app went smoothly. A printout, as shown on the online ticket, is not necessary. A clear recommendation!

Amazing!!! Even if we had audio guide tour the guide who was with us all the time told us about stuff the audio guide didn't. She told us when it started and when we needed to move to next room, she told us about interesting facts beside the audio guide.

I had the tour at 9:45am on Sunday, and the gentleman at the entrance, as well as the young lady who was our tour guide, were extremely friendly and knowledgeable! In addition, there is the beautiful castle in a beautiful landscape! It was a very nice morning!

Well organized and very friendly guide. The weather was cloudy and not too warm, but that was an advantage for the tour. The autumnal coloring of the forest around the castle also has its charm.
