Very easy to use for all transport, including the train to Sintra or Caiscais, the historic streetcar, and all Lisbon transport. Very easy to get into monuments, simply by presenting the card, sometimes even with a queue-cutter to save waiting time. And also discounts on souvenir purchases at Lisbon city information centers. The latter was a surprise for me. I'd recommend it if you want to visit a lot of monuments that would be expensive on their own. On the other hand, if you're planning to visit only free places or few paying sites, then simply pay by credit card directly, including for transport. Make your calculations! We're delighted.

The ticket for the palace The ticket for the palace was the same one you get with the app, so it's very easy to access. However, the Lisbon Card was more complicated because the downtown offices closed at lunchtime, which was the time we arrived. However, there was no problem getting it later.

The lisboa card is a good solution that allows you to get around the city and see various attractions while also often skipping the ticket booth line. It's just too bad that pickup is tied to a physical operator and daytime office hours, if you arrive at night you will pick it up the next day.
    • At the museum, observe intricate azulejo – the traditional tilework of Portugal – arranged in decorative patterns that depict its evolution.

    • Much of the convent is lined with gold embellishments which also frame some of the tiled artworks. Additionally, upgrade your ticket to an audio guide option.

    • Add on a Lisbon Card valid for 24, 48, or 72 hours to visit landmarks like Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, National Tile Museum, and more!

    • Your card gives you access to public transport including metros, buses, and even the famous Santa Justa Lift.

    • Fun fact: The National Tile Museum also has an opulent baroque church on the premises, accessible through the museum.

Greatest part was that we could climb almost everywhere, even the places we didn't know exist but found them accidentaly

It was great that you didn't have to worry about whether you could take the bus or not. You could often get in quicker than if you had to buy a ticket on the spot. I really liked the Crown Jewels exhibition. We went there in the afternoon and there was hardly anything going on.

It's a museum well worth visiting, and the audio guide is very useful.
  • National Tile Museum

Right on the banks of the Tagus River sits the National Tile Museum, paying homage to the azulejo (tile) - part of Portugal’s defining artistic heritage. Its humble exteriors are no match for its grand interiors. Take a closer look at this craft and see the detail that goes into each tile, as they portray everything from major historical events to symmetrical patterns. Tiled works of art adorn streets, homes, churches, and buildings all over Lisbon and the country. Enhance your visit with the audio guide option in English, providing deeper insights into the exhibits.
