FamilyVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5We really enjoyed visiting Quinta da Regaleira in Sintra. It is such a beautiful and unique place, with lovely gardens, interesting architecture, winding paths, and hidden tunnels to explore. The Initiation Well was definitely a highlight and something we had never seen before. We enjoyed walking around the property and discovering all the different areas along the way. It has a very peaceful feel in some areas, while others are fun to explore and a little mysterious. We would definitely recommend visiting if you are in Sintra. Give yourself plenty of time to walk around and take it all in—it’s a beautiful place and well worth the visit!AAlice C
SoloVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5This is a truly enchanting place—so much so that a week after my visit, I dreamed of a magical spot where a mermaid was swimming among moss-covered towers in the middle of the mountains... It’s worth a visit—a unique place that’s far too little-known given just how beautiful it is. I recommend visiting early in the morning to avoid the crowds🍀🐌🐞🌼🌲AAlfredo G
FamilyVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5It's really nice, but it's true that it has lost some of the charm it had years ago when there were fewer people. The initiation well used to be more mysterious, both at its entrance and along the many passageways leading to it. I imagine they've removed all that now because of the crowds. Plus, it's much more expensive now than it used to be. Still, it’s great and a good experience. It’s worth it.AAlexey D

GroupVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5First of all, I have to say that buying the tickets through this website was the best decision we made—everything was a 100 Based on what we saw, in my opinion, Quinta Regaleira was much better than Palácio da Pena We walked up, and the hike was totally worth it—now I’ve got two days of sore muscles, hehe
This combo gives you access to two of Sintra's most iconic palaces: The National Palace of Sintra and the Quinta de Regaleira. Their proximity makes this the ideal booking for a tour of Sintra's best treasures.
National Palace of Sintra
The National Palace of Sintra served as a residence for almost every Portuguese king and queen till the end of the monarchy in 1910. The first thing you’ll notice from a distance is its two conical chimneys and rooms, culminating centuries of Moorish and Portuguese history. The tour will take you through some of its most iconic rooms, including the Swan Hall, the Magpie Room, the Palatine Chapel, and the Heraldic Hall with its octagonal dome. Each space features intricate details from a variety of different influences.
Quinta de Regaleira
The Quinta de Regaleira was built in the 20th century by António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro, a wealthy Brazilian businessman. Walking through each floor, you’ll come across a mix of Gothic, Rainnaisance, and Manueline styles. A stroll through the gardens will lead you to an underground network of tunnels and an initiation well. Every corner is dotted with symbolism, and the tunnels also lead to a secret entrance that leads to the Initiation Well.
