The nature tha palace was breath taking. The caves and the well everything about it was amazing. Staff on the other hand was not so great. We got there half hour early, they made us wait and would let us in evn though they were not sold out for that time slot and it was not busy. People late to their time slot by an hour were allowed in no problem, but being early haf hour was a big issue. I asked if they can switch our tickets for that time because they were not sold out they still refused. But other than that we still had ana amazing time there.

We had a reservation for 11 a.m. We were able to go in at 10:45 a.m. because there weren’t many people there. We walked here from the Sintra train station—it was a breeze! It was a perfect visit; we really liked the little hidden nooks and the well, and the caves were a pleasant surprise :)

We got in earlier than expected and had a wonderful time at the Quinta da Regaleira World Heritage Site. I highly recommend it, even though quite a few other people seem to have had the same idea. But the crowds disperse in the very large garden.

A beautiful castle with a stunning park, a descent into a mystical well and the tunnels beside it. The sunny day was just an added bonus, making the experience feel like something out of a fairy tale. I definitely recommend a visit.

I loved it—everything was great. A tip: go first thing in the morning because it gets chaotic later on, and you won't be able to enjoy the "Pozo de Iniciación" as much. Another thing I liked was the path behind the rocks at one of the lakes.

National Palace of Sintra

The National Palace of Sintra served as a residence for almost every Portuguese king and queen till the end of the monarchy in 1910. The first thing you’ll notice from a distance is its two conical chimneys and rooms, culminating centuries of Moorish and Portuguese history. The tour will take you through some of its most iconic rooms, including the Swan Hall, the Magpie Room, the Palatine Chapel, and the Heraldic Hall with its octagonal dome. Each space features intricate details from a variety of different influences.

Quinta de Regaleira

The Quinta de Regaleira was built in the 20th century by António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro, a wealthy Brazilian businessman. Walking through each floor, you’ll come across a mix of Gothic, Rainnaisance, and Manueline styles. A stroll through the gardens will lead you to an underground network of tunnels and an initiation well. Every corner is dotted with symbolism, and the tunnels also lead to a secret entrance that leads to the Initiation Well.
