Soooo glad we brought the kids here! Everything is hands-on and the staff are super chill. My daughter got to hold a sword (not sharp lol) and now thinks she’s a Viking queen. The ride at the end is like a mini theme park thing—our 6-year-old was obsessed. Café has cinnamon buns that are actually good. Heads up: can’t take pics inside the ride. Def worth it for families.

I’m not a history buff but this was legit one of my fave museums in Stockholm. It’s not formal at all, and the staff are happy to answer all your random questions. We ended up chatting with a guy about Viking shipbuilding for like 20 mins. The ride was the cherry on top. Wish there were a few more actual objects and less screens, but I still loved it.

Stopped in after lunch with my girlfriend. Place is small but packed with cool details and stories. We didn’t bother with the guided tour because it looked a bit crowded—just walked around on our own. The best part was the little ride at the end, honestly. Pro tip: come early or later in the day, midday is sooo packed.

Visited on a rainy afternoon. Place was full of families and kids running around, but also some solo travelers like me. Liked the way the museum explains Viking life—felt like I learned something new. The story ride at the end is a nice touch. Didn’t try the café. Would recommend for anyone interested in history.

Went with a group of friends—def not just for kids! The interactive displays are fun (tried on a Viking helmet, looked ridiculous). Big shout out to the guide, who had stories that made us all laugh. Ride at the end is like a Viking cartoon, in a good way. Gift shop has cool souvenirs but kinda pricy.
  • Your ticket to the Viking Museum gives you unhurried access to one of Stockholm's most distinctive cultural experiences — part exhibition, part ride, entirely immersive.
