Took the sunrise hike with my boyfriend – wow, just wow. We got picked up at like 2:30 AM (yeah, not fun lol) but the driver was super chill and didn’t mind my sleep face. The hike itself? Harder than I thought. Def bring a jacket, it’s freezing at the top even if Bali is usually baking hot. But seeing the sun come up over the clouds? EPIC. Our guide, Komang, made jokes the whole way and even shared his granola bars when I was dying halfway up. Wouldn’t call it easy, but sooo worth it for those views.

Hiked with two friends, we’re all kinda outta shape but made it somehow. It’s steep in parts, take it slow! Sunrise at the top was next level – we forgot about how much we were sweating. Our guide, Wayan, knew all the good photo spots and took like a million pics for us. Toasted bread and eggs cooked on the volcano steam for breakfast, which was a cool touch. Crowd at the summit was big but everyone was in a good mood. Bring a flashlight if ur phone torch is weak.

I’d been looking forward to this hike for months and it didn’t disappoint. Got picked up from my hostel at 2:45 AM (ugh), met a bunch of other solo travelers, and we all bonded instantly. The climb was tough but our guide, Nova, kept us motivated and made sure we didn’t get lost in the dark. Reaching the top for sunrise – magical. We even saw bats flying around. Would do it again, maybe with better shoes next time.

Very worth it!! The sunrise was beautifull, the trek up the Batur was quite hard, but also realy fun. The hot springs afterwards were realy welcome :). The coffee tasting was good! A lot of different coffees to taste and we saw a Luwak cat and tasted the Luwak coffee. We also had a great driver. His name was Aguss. Very friendly! Thank you Aguss for driving us to our destinations :)

Climbing Mount Batur was an unforgettable experience that you definitely shouldn’t miss. The whole morning was quite challenging, but absolutely worth it. The hike itself is demanding, yet manageable and thanks to our amazing tour guides it was much more enjoyable. After the hike, we visited the hot springs, which was the perfect way to relax and recover. It felt amazing to soak in the warm water after such an intense climb. Another highlight was the coffee plantation with a tasting session the staff were so attentive, explained everything in detail, and let us try many different kinds of coffee and tea. A special mention goes to our driver Aguss – right after the booking he texted us to arrange the pickup address. He was always waiting for us on time and made sure we got everywhere safely. Overall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish highly recommended!
