Mount Batur Sunrise Guided Jeep Tour with Black Lava Exploration, Breakfast & Hotel Transfers

A superb experience and an absolute must-do in Bali! We were picked up in front of our homestay by a taxi, and then, after a coffee and a bottle of water, headed out in a jeep—thanks to Kadek, our driver—all the way to the summit of Mount Batur. The hot springs are a magnificent and deeply relaxing continuation of this tour. The 5 stars are more than justified.

We spent a wonderful morning on this excursion to Mount Batur and we are really delighted with our experience. A big thank you to Kupit, our first driver, who picked us up from our hotel and accompanied us with great kindness and good humor. He is very friendly, punctual, and drives really well. We really enjoyed chatting with him and were very happy to have him as our driver. He also accompanied us for the Luwak coffee tasting and then brought us back to our hotel safely. We would also like to thank Patrick, our jeep driver and guide. He was kind. He took the time to accompany us, explain the different places to us, and take photos of us 📸❤️. We are very satisfied with the excursion, the organization, and especially the kindness of Kupit and Patrick. We were a group of 7 with two separate bookings, and the team was incredibly kind to merge our reservations so we could share the entire experience together. A huge shoutout to one of our drivers, Ronald—he is a truly wonderful person with a big heart and amazing energy. For the jeep ride, Wilhelma was our driver and guide; he was so sweet and shared a lot of interesting facts with us along the way. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side, so we didn't get a clear view of the sunrise. However, the rest of the tour more than made up for it! We were completely blown away by the immense expanse of the Black Lava. Riding the ATV quads through the volcanic landscape was an absolute blast and we had so much fun. We also really enjoyed the visit to the coffee plantation. It was super interesting to learn about the coffee-making process, see a Luwak, and enjoy a delicious tasting of various local coffees and teas. Throughout the whole trip, every single person we met was genuinely kind, welcoming, and ready to answer any questions we had. Highly recommended!

We are a party of over 70's and we all had a wonderful day. From the moment we were picked up at 2.45 am to the time we were dropped off at 3pm the adventure was as advertised. Our 1st driver was easy to talk to and explained what would happen on the trip. Our 4x4 driver was polite and very helpful. He took some photo's of us and got us a good vantage point for the sunrise. The sunrise was spectacular, the black lava was interesting. We then went to the hot spring complex. We were told there were 6 pools but we only went in 2. The water is a bit above my bath temperature but quiet enjoyable, then the last stop, the coffee plantation. We tasted the free samples but declined to purchase the other one. Overall, it was a long day but enjoyable. Would recommend the trip, but be warned, you have to climb up and then into the back of the jeep. No easy thing for the not so young.

A great tour, with excellent drivers who went out of their way to make the trip very enjoyable. Depa arrived on time and let us know in advance via WhatsApp. Once we arrived at Batur, Konyes took over; he took some amazing photos of us and took great care of us. After the Black Lava, Depa was already waiting for us again and took us to the next spots. He was a very good driver, so we were even able to sleep in the car since the night had been very short. He also asked us where we’d already been so he wouldn’t take us to the same places again. He also took some great photos of us and took excellent care of us. We’d love to do this again anytime!
