Took my girlfriend for her birthday, and wow, the hot air balloon ride over Teotihuacan was STUNNING. Early morning was freezing (bring a hoodie, trust me), but as soon as the sun came up, totally worth it. Our pilot, Juan, cracked a few jokes and made us feel chill even when I thought I’d drop my phone. Breakfast after landing was way better than I expected, like, I had thirds. Pyramids were crowded but somehow didn’t ruin the vibe. Would def do again if I could.

So, the balloon ride is everything people say it is. My only complaint is the super early pickup (I’m NOT a morning person lol) and it was a bit rushed at breakfast. Still, seeing the sun rise over the pyramids? Will never forget that. Our guide Lucia was super knowledgeable and patient with my endless questions. The tequila tasting stop was fun too. Just wish we had more time at the basilica.

If ur thinking about booking this, just do it. Me & my sis went and it was like flying in a dream. Teotihuacan from above is next level. The crew took loads of pics for us (we didn’t have to ask). Food was yum, even if coffee was meh. Met cool ppl on our bus too. Only thing – the shop stop felt a bit touristy but I got a silly obsidian turtle anyway. 10/10.

Went solo. Balloon ride over Teotihuacan = bucket list stuff. Even made friends with two other travelers during the breakfast buffet. The tequila tasting was a cool surprise, didn’t know about that part. Guides handled everything, so I mostly just relaxed and stared out the window. Kinda wish the souvenir shop wasn’t so pushy but that’s a minor thing.

We booked for our family (kids 11 and 14) and everyone loved it! My daughter was scared of heights but the balloon ride felt safe and smooth. Watching the pyramids wake up with the sun was magical. Breakfast was a bit basic but fine, and the guide let us explore the ruins at our own pace after the tour. Note: wear comfy shoes, you’ll walk a ton.
