    The view was breathtaking. Bruce provided an excellent commentary as we toured the lighthouse. Providing lots of information on its history, the workings of the light and the ghosts! He was humorous and we learnt a lot. We would certainly recommend and return.

    Check in at the main entrance of Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse precinct, where your guide will greet you and validate your ticket. After a brief introduction, follow your guide to the base of the historic tower to begin your ascent.

    Rising at Australia’s most south-westerly tip since 1895, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse stands at the dramatic junction of the Indian and Southern Oceans. This working lighthouse is renowned for its vital role in maritime navigation and its unique coastal setting.

    • Bring a valid photo ID if requested at the entrance.

    What’s not allowed

    • Wheelchairs and prams are not permitted inside the lighthouse tower.

    • Caravan parking is unavailable during car park upgrades (Sept–Dec 2025).

    • Pets and drones are not permitted on the premises, except for registered service animals.

    • Large bags and suitcases are not allowed inside the lighthouse for safety reasons.

    Accessibility

    • Wheelchair and pram access is limited to the grounds and café; the lighthouse tower is not wheelchair accessible.

    • The tower climb involves 176 steps and requires moderate fitness.

    • Accessible restrooms are available on site.

    Additional information

    • Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour.

    • Children must be at least 4 years old to join the lighthouse tour and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

    • The site is closed on Christmas Day.

    • Last entry is at 4:30pm; tours depart every 30 minutes.

    • The experience operates in all weather conditions; tours may be modified or delayed in extreme weather for safety.

    • Meals, drinks, and souvenirs are not included in your ticket.

    • Transport to and from Augusta or Margaret River is not included.

    • Your voucher will be emailed to you instantly.

    • If you have purchased reduced-price tickets, please carry your valid photo ID proof for verification.
