From London: Stonehenge Half-Day Trip

Today I ticked a true bucket-list moment off my list with a visit to Stonehenge. The day itself felt quintessentially English—cool, crisp, with that gentle mist of rain that somehow makes everything more atmospheric rather than less. It only added to the magic of standing among something so ancient and quietly powerful. I booked through Headout, and honestly, it couldn’t have been easier. No unnecessary fluff or drawn-out commentary—just a straightforward coach trip that got us there comfortably and gave us the freedom to explore at our own pace. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want… just take me there and let me experience it. A simple, seamless day—and one I won’t forget anytime soon.

Perfect organization. The staff were punctual and professional. Upon departure from London, we were given a travel basket containing a sandwich, fruit, water, various pastries, and snacks. Armando, the driver who took us to Stonehenge, pointed out the streets and buildings we passed while driving through London, also sharing their history and that of various British figures. Stonehenge is a magical and fantastic place. A trip I highly recommend if you have half a day to spare. Silvio

Stonehenge was very impressive. The transport was very comfortable, and we even got a small snack pack and a very good free guided city tour on the way to the highway from the very nice bus driver Reggie. All in all, a highly recommended trip!

Our tour guide was fantastic. He gave us so much knowledge on our surroundings while entering and exiting central London that we would not have had otherwise! He was kind and guided us every step of the way. Great sense of humor and on our travel back, he knew to road and traffic expectations so well that he already planned an alternate route to get us back to central London as scheduled. Any other way probably would have added a whole nother hour to return but he made the travel seamless. We even arrived early to Stonehenge! Amazing experience.

The organization was perfect: the meeting point was easy to find. The bus was modern, very clean, and equipped with every comfort, which made the trip extremely pleasant and relaxing. Once we arrived at Stonehenge, everything was handled smoothly. We got off the bus and within minutes we were ready for the tour, avoiding long waits. The site is magical and the organization on site allows you to enjoy the atmosphere without rushing. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to visit Stonehenge in total comfort!

We have arrived at the bus and the bus driver Elvio was very nice with lots of interesting and humorous stories about London at first - while we were getting out the city and also about Stonehenge - when we were closer to it. Everything was according to the schedule despite the fact there were the farmers protest getting closer to London and making the traffic very difficult. We were on time and we managed to go to the other sightseeing that we had booked before! Thanks a lot!
