A special one-night concert has been announced, concerning Queen Elizabeth II's Tudor namesake, Elizabeth I. This three-act opera navigates turbulent waters with relationships being tested, plots being planned, and even an attempted coup!

This grand opera, with a full orchestra, and a large chorus is an energetic yet poignant ode to the Tudor Queen Elizabeth I. Known as Gloriana during her reign, this three-act lavish opera sheds light on this Monarch's latter years. Her relationship with her courtier, the Earl of Essex, Robert Devereux is brought into the spotlight. Originally composed to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953, this special concert is being brought back to the stage for one night only to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee.
