Westminster Abbey is absolutely awe-inspiring. The soaring Gothic arches, intricate stonework, and stunning stained glass create an atmosphere that’s both majestic and moving. Walking through its halls, you’re surrounded by centuries of history—royal coronations, weddings, and the resting places of monarchs, poets, and scientists. Poets’ Corner and the Coronation Chair were highlights, and the quiet cloisters offered a beautiful moment of reflection. The audio guide and knowledgeable staff added so much depth to the experience. Whether for its history, architecture, or spiritual presence, Westminster Abbey is a must-see in London. 💡 Tip: Arrive early to enjoy it before the crowds.

It is impressive but purely a tourist attraction. There is no time to sit down and let it sink in. You have to walk through the closed off and predetermined path with the other 200 with the same time and the 200 from before and after. Nothing to do with a church. Audioguide and lined up. No opportunity for personal interests, but it is more of a museum than a church.

The day was simply majestic and fantastic! The amount of deep meaningful history was stunning and could've spent 4 to 5 hours just reading and sitting and looking at the Granger. It was probably the top cathedral I've seen in my lifetime.. yes it was busy, but I would expect it to be so all the time because of the beauty of the cathedral it would be odd if it wasn't busy.

Westminster Abbey: A Dream Fulfilled Visiting Westminster Abbey was more than just a sightseeing stop—it was the realization of a long-held dream. I’d imagined standing beneath its vaulted ceilings for years, and finally, we went. From the moment we arrived, everything was beautifully organized. The audio guide was included and made the experience even more immersive, walking us through centuries of history with clarity and grace. We paid a small fee to access the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries, tucked high above the nave. Though photography isn’t allowed there, one image is etched in my memory: the Coronation Chair—that ancient oak seat in which British monarchs are crowned. It’s truly covered in countless inscriptions, scratches, and even graffiti. Seeing it up close was surreal, like touching the pulse of history. I saw so much—monarchs’ tombs, Poets’ Corner, the Coronation regalia, and quiet chapels that felt untouched by time. It’s astonishing how much history is held within those walls, yet the Abbey still feels like a secret place, tucked away in the heart of London, waiting to be discovered. If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into the pages of British history, this is the place. And if you haven’t—go anyway. It might just become your dream too.

The highlight was getting into the abbey an hour after our alotted time. We had expected to get straight in as we had pre booked tickets. It was far too crowded to move around with ease. It was awe- inspiring and we particularly enjoyed the choir area, the throne and the amazing, zing ceilings and the amazing statues. The intricate work was unbelievable.
