Apr 20265/5We did the sunset camel ride as a family of four—my teens were a bit nervous at first but our guide, Yassine (I think?), was sooo patient. The camels are HUGE but super chill, and the route through the palms is just magical at dusk. I got a ton of pics (no worries about taking photos here, yay!) and the staff even snapped a group shot for us. My son still talks about 'his' camel, Aicha. If you’re worried about comfort, they give you little scarves for the sand. Heads up: the mounting/dismount is a lil wobbly (hold on tight!). Would 100% do again.Apr 20264/5Booked this solo and was a bit worried about feeling awkward, but the group was friendly and the guide kept chatting with everyone. The camels looked well cared for (that’s impt for me). Only downside, we had to wait like 25 min for a late couple before starting. Otherwise, the vibe was super chill and the desert at sunset is STUNNING.Apr 20265/5Literally the highlight of our trip. My partner and I did the sunset ride, and wow, the colors were INSANE—like the whole sky just on fire. The staff even brought us mint tea at the end. Camels are surprisingly comfy...though my knees did get a bit stiff after an hour. Bring water, it gets dry. Totally recommend for couples.Apr 20264/5Great outing for families. Our kids (ages 8 and 12) loved meeting the camels. The guide kept checking if everyone was okay, and Ahmed the driver was funny and told us some history about the area. Weather was perfect—no wind, not too hot. Only downside, a bit of a wait to start.Apr 20265/5I went with a group of friends and we couldn't stop laughing at how dramatic the camels looked. Honestly, they were the real stars! Ride was smooth, guide was attentive, and the stop for tea under the palms was a nice touch. If you like animals and pretty views, you’ll love it.
A relaxed camel ride through the palm oasis with round-trip transfers, guides, and a cultural tea break.

Palmeraie Camel Ride
What to expect
On arrival, your guide introduces you to your camel and the handlers who will lead the ride. You'll be fitted with a cheich; wrap it loosely around your head and neck to protect against sun and dust. Your guide will show you how to mount and explain the camel's movement before you set off.
Features
-
The camel ride: The route follows quiet tracks through the palm groves, passing orange trees, Berber smallholdings, and open desert patches. Camels walk at a slow, rocking pace; expect a gentle sway that settles after the first few minutes. Your handler walks alongside throughout. The full riding portion lasts approximately one hour, with photo stops along the way.
-
Tea break at the Berber encampment: Midway through the tour, you'll stop at a traditional nomadic area for a glass of fresh Moroccan mint tea, served hot, sweet, and traditionally poured from height. This is a natural pause to rest, take in the setting, and chat with your guide.
-
Return to Marrakesh: After the ride, your driver takes you back to your hotel or a central drop-off point in Marrakesh.
