My partner and I had a great time last week watching Hadestown at the Lyric Theatre! The queue was fast moving and the star were really well organised with scanning tickets and directing us to he right areas. We got settled very easily. We were in the middle of the balcony and had a great view of the stage too, for very reasonable pricing. The show itself was absolutely beautiful. The cast did a brilliant job job and portrayed the story tenderly but with such strength. The band was phenomenal and the use of the moving stage blew our minds. My non theatre loving partner had a brilliant time. Anyone who likes lively music or jazz will love it too. Thanks so much to everyone involved for such a lovely experience!

I watched hadestown the 4/4 2026 and it was undeniably the best musical I've ever seen. I've been an avid hadestown fan for a long time and this is the first time I've seen it live. All the actors were incredible and each of them brought a unique take on their characters. I especially liked Marley Fenton's performance as Orpheus, just beautiful. The scenography, the lighting, the props, everything was just fantastic. My favourite number was probably Wait for me, totally unforgettable. The atmosphere they managed to achieve was just so dark and powerful. Loved it.

Spectacular! From great acoustics to stellar set design to breathtaking song and dance numbers, the whole evening was a masterpiece! The fabulous Hadestown cast delivered a powerful and moving performance, and put their heart into every song and scene. The whole house was bewitched, we had goosebumps and roaring applause throughout the show. The whole theatre was part of the experience, from the merch stand to themed drinks at the bar.

The performances were phenomenal, truly extraordinary actors and singers who are on the top of their game. It was moving, fun, impressive and just totally enjoyable the whole way through. Not one full moment. What had me staring with my mouth hanging open was just before intermission when the stage shifted. That was a real stage-design treat.

The performance was more than i expected from a matiné and the staff worked hard to make us feel welcome. I had a chat with a lovely girl that was a guard at the gallery about the history of the theater. So greatful for that, it made my day. Thank you! Beth from Norway

The rollercoaster Underworld saga, set in the world of Greek mythology, is returning to London after it first played at the National Theatre in 2018. After opening to rave reviews and critical acclaim, Anaïs Mitchell and Rachel Chavkin’s Hadestown was nominated for 14 Tony Awards in 2019, a record-breaking number, and won 8 of them. It also holds a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album. So, there is no doubt that Hadestown in London is going to be a phenomenal experience. Get your tickets for Hadestown before they run out. The Underworld has never looked better.

The story

A story about the trials and tribulations of love, Hadestown focuses on two couples — the poverty-ridden Orpheus and Eurydice and the King of the Underworld, Hades and his wife, Persephone. When Persephone is miserable about returning to the Underworld after she visits the world above, Hades heads out to search for someone who will appreciate the offerings of his home. He finds Eurydice and convinces her to move to the Underworld in exchange for food and protection. Eurydice agrees and becomes a worker at Hadestown, the dark underground factory of Hades. When Orpheus finds out, he vows to save Eurydice. What follows is a heartbreaking tale of sacrifice, triumph and the mysterious machinations of fate.

We got last minute tickets because the theatre looked intriguing when we walked past and didn't regret it! It was incredible! The stage was stunning and the actors delivered, I don't think they missed a single note! Would definitely visit again!
