Excellent Fast-Track Experience in Rome I purchased a fast-track ticket for visiting Castel Sant'Angelo and the Pantheon in Rome, and it was absolutely worth it. The biggest advantage was being able to avoid the long ticket queues, which saved a significant amount of time, especially during busy tourist hours. The process was simple and convenient. Instead of waiting in line to buy tickets, I was able to proceed directly to the entrance with minimal delay. This allowed me to spend more time enjoying the attractions and less time standing in queues. At the Pantheon, entry was smooth and organized, making the visit stress-free. Uitzicht vanaf de engelenburcht was erg goed! Zowel op de stad als op de Sint Pieter. Let op, als je naar het Pantheon gaat realiseer je dan dat je dit makkelijk binnen 15/20 minuten hebt gedaan. Daarnaast gaan er veel mensen tegelijkertijd naar binnen waardoor het wat "krapjes" kan aanvoelen. Headout heeft tijdig de tickets doorgestuurd zodat wij de attracties konden bezoeken. Het boeken was erg simpel. We hebben genoten van deze dag.

La mia giornata incomincia con la visita di Castel Sant'Angelo.Davanti a me la mole cilindrica di Castel Sant'Angelo si erge come un gigante addormentato che ha cambiato pelle mille volte: da tomba imperiale a fortezza inespugnabile, da prigione a dimora papale. Salgo le rampe elicoidali, sentendo l'umidità delle mura millenarie, fino a sbucare sulla Terrazza dell'Angelo. Lì, ai piedi della spada di bronzo, il visitatore resta senza fiato. Roma si srotola ai suoi piedi come un tappeto di tetti color ocra, e la cupola di San Pietro sembra così vicina da poter essere toccata. Poi,dopo una breve passeggiata a piedi, raggiungo il Pantheon. Entro rapidamente, senza nessun problema nonostante la presenza di moltissimi turisti. Varcando la soglia, vengo travolto da un silenzio sacro. Alzo lo sguardo e mi perdo nell'immane Cupola, la più grande cupola in calcestruzzo non armato mai costruita. L'Oculus, quel cerchio perfetto aperto verso l'infinito, cattura un cilindro di luce che taglia l'oscurità come una lama divina. Mi fermo al centro esatto dell'edificio. Mi sento minuscolo sotto quel foro che accoglie il sole (e la pioggia, che qui cade come polvere di diamante). Tra le tombe dei Re e la grazia silenziosa di Raffaello, capisco che se Castel Sant'Angelo è la storia che muta, il Pantheon è l'eternità che resta immobile. Ormai è sera , ritorno in hotel stanco ma felice.Una giornata fantastica grazie anche a voi.

Borghese Gallery and Museum

You might already know that Bernini’s sculptures are scattered all over Rome. However, his best works – The Rape of Proserpina, Apollo and Daphne, and David are on display at the Borghese Gallery and Museum. Moreover, at least a dozen of Caravaggio's most famous paintings can be seen here. These include ‘Boy with a Basket of Fruit,’ ‘David with the Head of Goliath,’ ‘Self-portrait as Bacchus', ‘Madonna and Child with St Anne’ and ‘Portrait of Pope Paul V.’ Since the museum permits only a limited number visitors at a time, you see these masterpieces as you have never seen before – like browsing through a private collection! When you're done exploring the gallery, head over to the garden, one of the most beautiful parks in Rome. Away from the city bustle, these Gardens give you a chance to experience Rome in silence.

Castel Sant'Angelo

Castel Sant’ Angelo or ‘Castle of the holy angel’ was built in AD 135-139 and intended as a mausoleum for the Roman emperor Hadrian. Eventually, the monument came to be used as a military building and a place of refuge for popes during the 1527 sieges. Spend your time here exploring the castle, which is now a museum, and learn about Roman history and architecture. Divided into five floors that are connected by a spiral ramp, you will get to tour the chamber of ashes and the cells in which many historical figures were incarcerated. As you ascend to the upper part of the castle, admire the beautifully decorated rooms that served as a Papal residence and an extensive collection of ancient weapons. Head over to the large terrace on the top floor, where you can wrap up your experience with unparalleled views of Rome.

Important Information

Access to the Borghese Gallery is regulated with a mandatory exit at the end of each time slot so tickets are limited and sell out quickly. Tickets will not be available on-site for purchase, especially for same-day entry.

Until the month of May, only two children are allowed access for a time slot.

Entry to the Borghese Gallery is free for people who are physically challenged as well as their accompanying guardian (carry a valid photo ID).

The cloakroom is temporarily located outside the Borghese Gallery.

Luggage storage at the Borghese Gallery is mandatory for items such as bags, backpacks, strollers or trolleys, umbrellas, selfie sticks, or other items whose danger or size is assessed by the security staff.

It is also forbidden to enter the Borghese Gallery with food, drinks (including water), and animals (with the exception of guide dogs).
