Alex could not have nicer or more helpful. We met Alex at the cafe and he escorted us to the correct line, through security, and all the way to entrance turnstile. We used this ticket to enter and used Rick Steves audio to guide ourselves through the museum and sistine chapel. This ticket saved us at least 1 hour of time standing in a line plus total chaos at the entrance. He explained everything clearly. I'm so glad we did this.

Visiting the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. From the moment I entered, I was surrounded by centuries of history, art, and extraordinary beauty. Every corridor, painting, and architectural detail reflected the incredible talent and dedication of the artists who created these masterpieces. The Sistine Chapel was truly the highlight of my visit. Standing beneath Michelangelo’s magnificent ceiling and seeing The Creation of Adam in person was an incredibly moving experience. Mi visita a los Museos Vaticanos y la Capilla Sixtina Sencillamente inolvidable! Desde que cruzas los arcos de entrada sabes que estás por vivir algo fuera de este mundo. Caminar por las galerías rodeado de esculturas clásicas, mapas renacentistas y las deslumbrantes Estancias de Rafael te deja sin aliento a cada paso... la cantidad de arte e historia comprimida en cada pasillo es astronómica. Pero el momento cumbre ocurre al entrar a la Capilla Sixtina. El silencio que se respira en la sala impone respeto inmediato. Levantar la mirada y contemplar La Creación de Adán y El Juicio Final de Miguel Ángel en persona te pone la piel de gallina; ningún libro ni fotografía le hace justicia al nivel de detalle y dramatismo de los colores en vivo. Aunque suele haber bastante gente y hay que caminar bastante, vale absolutamente cada minuto y cada segundo de la espera. Sin duda, una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida y un imperdible total si visitas Roma.

Visiting the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel was an unforgettable experience. The entire visit was incredibly well organised, and the skip-the-line access made the experience much easier, especially with the large crowds. The museums are filled with breathtaking artwork, beautiful architecture, fascinating history and incredible details at every turn. The Sistine Chapel was definitely the highlight and seeing Michelangelo’s work in person was truly amazing. Our Headout booking process was simple and convenient, and the instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. We were able to enjoy the visit without worrying about tickets or long queues. Overall, this was one of the highlights of our Rome trip, and I would definitely recommend visiting the Vatican Museums and booking through Headout.

I book a excursions from Headout to Pompeii and Vesuvius climb from Sorrento travel to Pompeii with airconditioned coach. I got two ticket travel to Pompeii on crowded commuter train, I got to see Pompeii but No Vesuvius climb. The travel company that actually do the tour said Headout only send ticket for Pompeii tour for me. I was excited about the volcano hike. ( its a first time for me as a hiker) My trip was all plan out I don't have another day to do it again. wasted my opportunity and time. Even the nature of their business, they don't understand that they are selling once in a life time opportunity for some people. I emailed them afterword. there is no apology, no refund.(they promist 100% guarantee refund, it's a lie) Very disappointed.

The skip the que is excellent at this time of year, ie. Arrived on the 10th October in rome, I had previously before arrival discovered the Headout app. Found my interest! And booked accordingly! Looking at the general ques, I was delighted, in fact, I made a comment just before the Sistine Chapel! The longest wait was infact to the ladies toilets! Don't be shy in talking your Camera out in the Vatican museum! Its the Sistine Chapel where you will be strictly ordered to turn your Camera off! And its understandable! Adhere to the standard! And your experience will be exceptional! Remember, your walking on the stones of Popes, And looking at artifacts of the Troy era. Thats BC.

Guide qui vérifie bien si tout le monde suit et tout le monde est présent, c'est très plaisant malgré le monde aux alentours du Vatican. Très appréciable. Une fois à l'entrée le guide nous laisse nous débrouiller et on se fait le cheminement tout seul, on peut visiter dans l'ordre qu'on souhaite. Beaucoup de monde, il faut pas avoir peur de la foule durant la visite du musée. Mais très belle expérience !

The museum itself was a great experience. So glad we chose a non guided tour as there were a few aspects that didn't interest us so we were able to move on at our own pace However my big concern was that at NO point were we asked for any form of identification from any of the Headout team or the Vatican staff.

When in Rome, bask in the splendor of Renaissance greats. Avoid the winding queues and get priority entry to two of the most iconic museums in the world: The Vatican Museums as well as the Borghese Gallery and Museum!

The Vatican Museums

Travel back in time and experience art and religious history with skip-the-ticket-line entry to the Vatican Museums. Explore at your own pace the Greek Cross Gallery, where you can spot intricately carved sarcophagi, browse through the Cabinet of the Masks, or see the Sala degli Animali - a virtual menagerie of fantastic beasts, real and imagined. Don't miss out on seeing the Gallery of Maps, to discover how cartographers depicted the world through the ages. While you're at it, treat your eyes to stunning masterpieces by Renaissance masters in the Raphael Rooms. Then, it’s time to admire Michelangelo’s beautiful Sistine Chapel, the crown jewel of the Vatican, and considered to be a cornerstone of western art. The Last Judgement covers the wall behind the altar and is probably the most famous single work of art in the Sistine Chapel. Please note: Entry to the museums is by obligatory online booking.

Borghese Gallery and Museum

One of the most exhausting aspects of exploring a new place as a tourist is undoubtedly the queues. Fortunately, with an escorted entry, you get to avoid all that bustle and stroll around at your own pace. The Borghese Gallery is located in what used to be the Villa Borghese Pinciana. The building of the gallery was added in with the gardens around it at first. The gardens, however, have become a separate attraction for tourists by themselves. With fountains, gardens, pink marble walls, and frescoed ceilings, the Borghese Gallery and Museum is a fitting place to house some of the world's greatest artworks. Find here everything from sculptures by Bernini and Canova, to paintings by Caravaggio, Raphael, and Titian amongst others.

Important Information

Access to the Borghese Gallery is regulated with a mandatory exit at the end of each time slot so tickets are limited and sell out quickly. Tickets will not be available on-site for purchase, especially for same-day entry.

Until the month of May, only two children are allowed access for a time slot.

Entry to the Borghese Gallery is free for people who are physically challenged as well as their accompanying guardian (carry a valid photo ID).

The cloakroom is temporarily located outside the Borghese Gallery.

Luggage storage at the Borghese Gallery is mandatory for items such as bags, backpacks, strollers or trolleys, umbrellas, selfie sticks, or other items whose danger or size is assessed by the security staff.

It is also forbidden to enter the Borghese Gallery with food, drinks (including water), and animals (with the exception of guide dogs).

For visitors with mobility impairment, the Vatican Museums offer free wheelchair hire from the cloakroom.

Fri & Sat: 8:30 AM - 8 PM (final entry at 4:30 PM).

Sundays are closed.

All the extraordinary openings of the last Sunday of the month are suspended.

Access to St. Peter's Basilica is free but there could be a waiting line during peak season.

Borghese Gallery

The Gallery is open from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM every Tuesday to Sunday.

Dress Code

Please be dressed appropriately. Sleeveless blouses, miniskirts, shorts, and hats are not permitted. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
