Six Flags Great America invites you to make unforgettable memories across 300 acres of thrills, shows and family fun in Gurnee, Illinois. Set conveniently between Chicago and Milwaukee with direct access off I‑94, the park balances high‑octane coaster energy with welcoming spaces, dining and entertainment for all ages.

Roller coaster fun: Over 12 rides deliver both range and variety: from the smooth, sweeping airtime of Raging Bull to DC™‑themed favorites like BATMAN™: The Ride and the interactive JUSTICE LEAGUE™: Battle for Metropolis. For pure launch adrenaline, Maxx Force rockets riders from 0 to 78 mph in under two seconds—the fastest launch in North America—before threading lightning-quick inversions that keep the pace to the very end.

Seasonal shows and nighttime entertainment: Add to the atmosphere across the park and amplify the sense of celebration for families and thrill seekers alike.

What to bring

Make sure to dress for a full day outdoors. Think light, breathable clothing like t-shirts, shorts, or comfortable pants work best, along with sturdy walking shoes or sneakers.

If you’re planning to hop on water rides like Loggers Run or Yankee Clipper, bring a poncho or a change of clothes.

Don’t forget to carry sunscreen, sunglasses, and a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Accessibility

Designated stroller parking is available near each attraction.

Service animals are welcome in most areas of the park. They are not permitted on certain rides for safety reasons.

Ride accessibility varies from attraction to attraction.

Those using mobility devices may need to transfer to the ride seat, either independently or with assistance from a companion.

Many amusement rides use manufacturer-designed safety systems built to accommodate people of average physical stature and proportion.

These systems may limit the ability of some individuals to safely ride. Guests of larger or smaller size; guests with heart, back or neck conditions; pregnant guests; guests recovering from recent surgery; and guests with casts, braces, restrictive devices or certain disabilities may not be safely accommodated.

Your ticket is delivered digitally after booking. You can scan it directly from your phone at the entrance.

One-day tickets are valid only for the selected visit date and cannot be used on other days.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, and entry may require a photo or biometric verification.

Guests 15 and under will need to be accompanied by a chaperone. If you're 16 or older, you might be asked to show a valid government-issued photo ID (like a driver’s license, state ID, or passport) at entry to confirm your age.
