The guide arrived just 3 minutes before the starting time so don't panic if you don't see him 15 minutes before as recommended meeting time. He gave us a very interesting introduction on the water system throughout the history of the city and then we headed to the entrance. We skipped the queue but there were still several hours ahead of us and several visitors. Once downstairs we had a 25 minutes explanation and then we had time for photos and walk around the cystern following the platform path. The guide was good and we extracted the most of it in this hour tour. The cystern is simply fantasticValéry

I leave with only the vision of the monument. I thought I'd be given a translation of the guided tour - they called it an audioguide - but I wasn't. The guide spoke English, so I only caught a few words here and there. The guide spoke English, so I only caught a few words here and there, and I left without knowing the dates of the building's construction. I'm very disappointed, paying 45e to enter a monument and leaving without having understood or learned anything, I find that very expensive and disappointing. The only good thing was that I didn't have to queue to get in, but not for 45! In conclusion, organize your visits better, with 2 distinct entrances: guided tours, or tours without a guide. Better signposting in several languages. The guides should be more visible and distinguishable from one another. I had to ask 2 guides before finding mine (I'm not sure it was really mine who took me in his group). In short, very stressful before entering despite having booked online and arrived 30 minutes in advance, then disappointing because I left just 45 minutes later (20 minutes of snippets of explanation and 25 minutes of photos and tour) not knowing any more about the basilica. I'd expected it to be an extraordinary encounter with our past, but it didn't even turn out to be interesting, as everything was incomprehensible without a translator.Kendra

Murat was an awesome guide. He was easy to understand, led us through all 3 sites at the perfect pace and gave us a wonderful history lesson. Highly recommend this tour!Charles

The guide was nice enough, and knew a lot, as much as I could tell. His microphone connection to our earpieces failed, so that was a major problem. He also needs to say "ladies and gentlemen " less often, it waslike a distracting nervous tic. He must have inserted it 50-70 times in the 3 site talks.Madeleine

Tour guide very helpful and provided lots of information. Answered everybody's questions. Provided useful information about other places to visit.

Basilica Cistern
Step into a 6th-century underground reservoir filled with marble columns, soft lighting, and the mysterious Medusa heads. With your guide or audio tour, you’ll learn how it was built, the Roman engineering behind it, and the legends hidden in its shadows. Don’t leave before walking to the far end—many visitors miss the Medusa heads tucked in the back corner.
Hagia Sophia
One of the world’s most iconic landmarks, Hagia Sophia is known for its massive dome, golden mosaics, and layered history as both a church and a mosque. A guided tour brings the space to life, offering a closer look at how it changed from a church to a mosque, then a museum, and now a mosque again. Look out for the Deësis mosaic in the gallery, a striking example of late Byzantine art showing Christ flanked by Mary and John the Baptist.
Blue Mosque
Still an active mosque, the Blue Mosque is known for its six minarets, grand prayer hall, and over 20,000 Iznik tiles. A guided visit explains key features like the mihrab facing Mecca and the domes designed to draw the eye upward, all while also helping you plan around prayer times.
