Nestled away in the midst of modern-day Turkey is a piece of its history, the archeological wonder of the Ephesus, filled with myths, legends, and tales from the past. The trip begins at the State Agora, where you get to listen to the accounts of political intrigue and governance of the ancient city of Ephesus. The tour then shifts toward the Bouleuterion, the meeting point of the city council and a space for artistic performances. Next visit the Temple of Domitian with its unusual ‘U’ shaped architecture, and Curetes Street, connected to the ancient emperor’s nymphaeum. You also have other ruins to explore on this archeological site, including the baths of Scholastica, the marble latrines and toilets, the grave of the Egyptian princess Arsinoe and the Celsus Library, which is known for its incredible architecture and is also possibly the most-visited landmark in Ephesus. The tour is as long as you want it to be, and it ends at the second entrance to the archeological site.
