Alex could not have nicer or more helpful. We met Alex at the cafe and he escorted us to the correct line, through security, and all the way to entrance turnstile. We used this ticket to enter and used Rick Steves audio to guide ourselves through the museum and sistine chapel. This ticket saved us at least 1 hour of time standing in a line plus total chaos at the entrance. He explained everything clearly. I'm so glad we did this.

The Sistine Chapel was truly the highlight of my visit. Standing beneath Michelangelo’s magnificent ceiling and seeing The Creation of Adam in person was an incredibly moving experience. My visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel Simply unforgettable! From the moment you walk through the entrance arches, you know you're about to experience something out of this world. Walking through the galleries surrounded by classical sculptures, Renaissance maps, and the dazzling Raphael Rooms leaves you breathless at every step... The amount of art and history packed into every hallway is astronomical. However, the crowning moment comes upon entering the Sistine Chapel. The silence hanging in the room commands immediate reverence. Looking up and seeing Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment in person gives you goosebumps; no book or photo does justice to the level of detail and dramatic intensity of the colors in real life. Even though it tends to be quite crowded and involves plenty of walking, it's absolutely worth every single minute and second of the wait. Hands down one of the best experiences of my life and an absolute must-see if you're visiting Rome.

Buying and receiving the tickets for the Pantheon was all good. Getting into the Pantheon was tricky. We lined up to have our tickets validated to be told we needed to meet someone in front of the Legami shop across the square. The sign for Headout seemed to be attached to a phone box and was really quite small so not obvious where we should go. A very nice man did arrive after a few minutes and sorted out the tickets that we then needed to show the ticket person. He also helped us to find and download the audio. We then had to find the end of the queue again to have our tickets inspected. Again, no obvious signs other than a long queue of people as to where this was and there were easily thousands of people at this point. Maybe a high up sign with information on it about what tickets were accepted where would be helpful. Anyways, we got into the Pantheon but we could then not get the audio to work at all, this was quite disappointing.

Visiting the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel was an unforgettable experience. The entire visit was incredibly well organised, and the skip-the-line access made the experience much easier, especially with the large crowds. The museums are filled with breathtaking artwork, beautiful architecture, fascinating history and incredible details at every turn. The Sistine Chapel was definitely the highlight and seeing Michelangelo’s work in person was truly amazing. Our Headout booking process was simple and convenient, and the instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. We were able to enjoy the visit without worrying about tickets or long queues. Overall, this was one of the highlights of our Rome trip, and I would definitely recommend visiting the Vatican Museums and booking through Headout.

The skip the que is excellent at this time of year, ie. Arrived on the 10th October in rome, I had previously before arrival discovered the Headout app. Found my interest! And booked accordingly! Looking at the general ques, I was delighted, in fact, I made a comment just before the Sistine Chapel! The longest wait was infact to the ladies toilets! Don't be shy in talking your Camera out in the Vatican museum! Its the Sistine Chapel where you will be strictly ordered to turn your Camera off! And its understandable! Adhere to the standard! And your experience will be exceptional! Remember, your walking on the stones of Popes, And looking at artifacts of the Troy era. Thats BC.

This was advertised as a "skip the line" tour, that is false. We waited in a very long line but it wasn't terribly bad. We also had a little trouble finding our contact. He had to give us the information so we could listen on the self guided tour. Not sure why they instructed me to download the Dex App if we were using something else. Anyhow, the information we listed too was interesting and the structure was pretty cool.

External guides are not allowed.

Entry must be at the scheduled time; latecomers will not be admitted.

Security checks are conducted at the entrance.

Audio guides are available for rent inside the Museums.

Tour assistants provide access until ticket delivery at the entrance; the guided service ends there.

Visitors must follow hosting instructions inside the Museums; failure to comply may result in ticket cancellation.

During religious events or Jubilee Year, some areas, including St. Peter’s Basilica, may be closed without prior notice.

The Sistine Chapel will close early on January 3 (2 pm), January 9 (2 pm), and January 10 (1 pm) 2026; last entries are one hour earlier.

The Vatican Museums may close sections unexpectedly; closures do not entitle refunds.

Michelangelo’s Last Judgement will be under maintenance until March 2026; the chapel remains open but views may be partially blocked by scaffolding.
