Musée impréssionnant par la taille des œuvres exposées et la qualité. Vraiment l'un de mes préférés. Cette fois-ci il y avait un accent sur les femmes dans le street art et beaucoup d'œuvres avec des représentant géométriques.

Seeing street art from many different artists made it special! Especially seeing Shepard Fairey's work up close as he's an artist I've always admired since my teenage years.

Absolutely amazing place! The street art is mind-blowing and the space is incredibly well curated. Our kids had the best time, they were in awe at every corner, spotting details and asking to take photos with everything. A must-visit for the whole family!

Perfect space. I imagined the original purpose of the building and all the activity of the time. This all made the incredible art even better. To repurpose a place and create a continuum of purpose and creativity in a different way.

On my phone tickets went perfect. This museum was my favorite in Amsterdam and was easily accessed by the free ferry service. The artwork was passionate and incredible.

A great setting for the large and vibrant artwork on display. Benches to sit and take a longer look at the pieces. Worth a visit 😊

Present your ticket at the main entrance of the STRAAT Museum for validation. After a quick check-in, you’re free to explore the museum at your own pace—no guided introduction required.

What to expect

STRAAT Museum

STRAAT Museum, located in a former shipyard in Amsterdam, is dedicated to urban contemporary art and graffiti. The museum features over 180 large-scale artworks created on-site by more than 170 international and Dutch artists, reflecting the diversity and evolution of street art.

In-situ artworks: View a dynamic collection of murals and installations, like Tankpetrol’s Old Rocking Chair, all produced directly within the museum, showcasing authentic street art techniques and styles.

Flexible entry: Arrive anytime during opening hours and enter the museum at your convenience. Stay as long as you like and enjoy the museum at your own pace—your ticket grants access for the entire day.

STRAAT Gallery: Explore solo and group exhibitions that highlight the history and future of urban art, with new works regularly added to the collection.

Panorama Deck: Enjoy unique bird’s eye views of the art-filled main hall from the museum’s deck, with access to a café for drinks and snacks, bought at your own expense.

Family-friendly facilities: The museum offers amenities such as a café and colouring books for children, making it suitable for visitors of all ages.

What’s not allowed

You are not allowed to touch any of the artworks.

Umbrellas, suitcases, backpacks, pointed or edged objects, spray cans, markers, large objects, and outside food and drink are not allowed inside the exhibition room.

Flash photography and the use of tripods and selfie sticks are strictly prohibited at the venue.

Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the museum.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along on this experience.

Accessibility

This experience, except the Panorama Deck, is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.

Additional information

Note that the main exhibition hall is not heated and can be very cold in the winter. Dress comfortably in layers.

Backpacks and bags can be searched when entering the museum.

The museum will be open until 9pm on the first Friday of each month.
