Tried the Rio Samba Bus with my sister—what a BLAST! We picked it because the samba music sounded fun, but honestly the whole setup is genius. Loved hopping off at Lapa for a pastel (btw, DO try the cheese one), then back on for Copacabana. Only thing: bring sunscreen if you sit up top, my nose got RED. Staff were super chill, didn’t mind us asking a million questions about the route. Audioguide played some old-school samba I hadn’t heard before, which made the ride feel kinda magical. Would do again for sure, maybe with more friends next time.

Took my parents on the Rio Samba Bus and honestly, it was a BLAST! Dad kept humming along with the tunes, lol. Weather was suuuper sunny, so sitting on the top deck felt like a mini beach day (bring sunscreen, trust me). Loved hopping off at Lapa for street snacks. Staff was chill and pointed out a few hidden gems. Highly recommend for families who want to see a lot without the stress of taxis. Would do again!

Went solo on a cloudy Tuesday (less crowds, yay). Bus was comfy, didn’t get too hot inside. Liked that you can hop off at the Botanical Garden, which was way greener than I thought. Sound system inside is LOUD, in a good way—could actually hear the samba even over traffic. Only minus: waited about 25 min for the next bus at Sugarloaf stop, but there’s a snack stand so not a huge deal. Worth it if ur short on time in Rio.

Went solo on a whim. The bus was comfy, AC worked well. Audioguide in English sounded a bit robotic but had fun facts. Bit crowded at Copacabana stop and I missed my first bus back because it was full, but no big deal. Loved the music playlist, especially the samba classics. Wish there were more night tours though.

Honestly, the tour was okay. Did it with my parents. Bus was late at the first stop (about 20 min), which was annoying. But the guide was super apologetic. Liked the music, and the info was good, but didn’t LOVE how rushed we felt between stops. If you don’t mind moving quick, u might like it more.
