Ruimy completely dominates the stage with an incredible array of traditional and non-traditional Flamenco moves. Combined with a forbidden love affair as the underlying theme, Flamenka is a sizzling dance presentation that is certain to take audiences on a thrilling journey!
Flamenka is directed by British theater director, television judge, and choreographer Arlene Phillips, CBE. Although she was initially known for her films and theatrical productions who won the 1985 BRIT Awards, she shot to an entirely new dimension of fame when she choreographed the opening and closing ceremonial events for the 2002 Commonwealth Games held in Manchester. Lead dancer Karen Ruimy is also a successful artist known for productions such as El Camino, Flamen’ka, and Sangre.
