Last week

Booked onto the red tour and were initially told that 2 stops were closed due to a football match taking place. However at the point where the routes diverge we ended up on the blue tour. It seemed that the rest of the red tour was shut. Having spoken to the guides at the end of the trip they extended our ticket for the next day so that we could actually do the tour we wanted. Full marks for customer service.

Despite a very slow and rocky start, I did enjoy the tour once it got going. There were plenty of buses and tour narrative was good. I started my tour in the AM at Galataport. There was a problem with one of the buses. I waited 1 hour for a new bus, some waited 2 hours. The crew gave little info as to what was going on. The communication and language barrier was very frustrating

First, the time of day. We chose the evening, when the whole city is lit up. At this time of day and of year, there are very few people around, and there are no lines for the elevators. Once we got to the top, the lack of crowds allowed us to take our time and enjoy ourselves while taking photos.

The entry was quick and easy and the views from the tower are spectacular. ❤️ I totally recommend it even if you are scared of heights, the external fence is high enough, so there's no need to worry.

When I booked tickets and downloaded app, it did not revel tickets so had to get it printed from a kiosk. The boarding directions to gelata tower were misleading, it didn't take us to boarding point rather we were tsken to the hop on/hop off shop near gelata tower. The people weren't helpful and it was a long way down to reach to boarding point. We got lost in the way. Apart from that, bus tour was good. We would prefer an actual guide rather then ear phones.
